Mystory@Antima Yadav: How I selected my college and course
After my 12th, I did not know what to do and what not to do. I was totally confused but the one thing that I was sure was to do something interesting in life and make a name for myself. I wanted people to know, to respect me for my job and what I have achieved so far.
I selected my college on my own. I did not follow my friends. They went to different colleges and chose different subjects unlike me. I was confident as well as nervous at the same time. I was nervous because of the fear of not being able to cope up with the course that I chose for myself. I didn’t want it to be a waste of time and money. Getting admission to the college was easy for me as I secured a good percentage.
During my admission phase, many of my friends told me that it was all a waste of time and money. But, I had a different path to go altogether and I was really working hard to achieve what I dreamt of. I knew exactly where I wanted to go and what I have to achieve. Which I did eventually.
I selected BBA for my Bachelors. But choosing the right specialization was really tough. I was confused whether to go for HR or Marketing. Ultimately, I chose HR as I knew I had the required qualities in me. However, if given a chance, I could also opt for the teaching line. Getting into this sector is my dream and I would pursue whenever I get the time.
My College Life
College life is so much fun. I just can’t describe it in words about the experience. Nothing can be compared to the time you spend with friends in college. The only tension you have during this phase is about studies. There was cut-throat competition among our classmates and I was one of the toppers of my class. For me, studies was of utmost importance. Amongst all the fun I had, I never forgot that I was here to make a career for myself.
The faculty members of my college and course were really helpful throughout my college life. I gained a lot of knowledge from them and it played an important role in teaching me various life lessons.
About the Author:
I finished my BBA (HR) from Dynaprassarak College Goa in the year 2016. And soon after that I started my career into HR which was pretty challenging and hectic. Currently, I am working as HR Executive in the hotel industry. I like reading books, teaching students, playing games like badminton etc. I believe that if you want to conquer anything in life the solution is "hard work & smart work ". Everything is possible in life if you have these two qualities. If you don’t then start inculcating those and you will find yourself reaching towards the goal.
