Sharda university Admission Test

Sharda University conducts a single window entrance test SUAT (Sharda University Admission Test) for admissions to the various courses, including BBA and BBA+MBA (integrated).

Sharda University is the first private university in India to come up with a comprehensive entrance exam that analyses the students’ aptitude for courses as diverse as B Tech and BBA.

Candidates interested in applying for BBA programs at the university can do so by appearing for SUAT 2017. The exam is held for 3 month. In 2016, the exam window opened on April 30 and closed on July 30, 2016.

Here’s an overview:

Eligibility:

The candidate must have passed class XII with minimum 50% marks from any of the recognized boards of India and should meet the University admission criteria.

Candidates whose Class XII results are awaited can also appear for SUAT. However their admission will be conditional, which will be confirmed upon reception of final exam scores.

The applicants must be at least 17 years till December 31 of the academic year to which they are seeking admission.

Application process:

Registration for admission to Sharda University is done through online form available on the official website.

Candidates planning to get registered for SUAT 2017 can fill up the form online.

Here are the steps to be followed:

  • Visit Sharda University website
  • Read and understand all details about SUAT.
  • Click on apply for SUAT.
  • Choose the course and fill in all the details. Cross check all the details furnish before clicking ‘save’ button as the information cannot be edited afterwards.
  • Pay registration fee of Rs 1000. The payment can be done through debit card, credit card or net banking.
  • The application fee can also be paid through DD in favor of Sharda University payable at Greater Noida or through Cash at Sharda University campus / Regional Offices
  • Book a slot for SUAT.
  • The candidate can book the SUAT slot through two options.
  1. At SU Campus by calling the helpline number
  2. Through attest centre and attest website.
  • After booking the slot, candidate will be provided with his/her admit card for SUAT.

Admit card:

The candidates must take a print out of their admit card and keep it secure till the end of admission process.

They must also carry the admit card to the exam hall, as it is a necessary documented to be presented at the time of the exam.

The candidates must check the details printed on the admit card, especially name, roll number, exam date and venue.

Exam pattern and syllabus:

SUAT is a 90-minute long computer based exam. It consists of total 100 questions.

The questions will be objective type with multiple answers to choose from. SUAT essentially assesses a candidate’s problem solving skills, analytical skills and language proficiency.

The question paper is divided into four sections –General Awareness, English Communication, Logical Reasoning & Critical Thinking and Quantitative Aptitude.

There is no negative marking but the candidates has to score at least 35% in SUAT.

Admission process:

Candidates are given admission on the basis of marks scored in class XII and performance in SUAT.

After SUAT, the university will announce a merit list. Those candidates who will make it to the list will be invited to take admission in desired course.
