Bihar Board 12th Result 2020: Stream-wise toppers list

While several other boards like CBSE, CISCE postponed the declaration of the board exam results, BSEB became the first education board to declare the board exam 2020 result amid the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19.

Amid the complete lockdown, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) took an unexpected move and declared BSEB Class 12 result yesterday i.e. March 24. While several other boards like CBSE, CISCE postponed the declaration of the board exam results, BSEB became the first education board to declare the board exam 2020 result amid the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19.

The Board itself claimed that it’s the ‘fastest result ever’ as BSEB released results within 25 days of completing the exams. Students who appeared for the BSEB class 12 exams, can check and download their BSEB class 12 result 2020 from the official website of the board i.e. bsebssresult.com, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.

According to the data shared by BSEB, around 80.44% of the total students who appear for BSEB class 12 board exam 2020, qualified. The pass percentage of BSEB intermediate 2020 increased from 79.76%.

Bihar Board Inter Exam 2020: Stream-wise toppers

In BSEB arts stream, Sakshy Kumari has topped with 474 marks out of 500 i.e 94.80% while in commerce, Kausar Fatma and Sudhanshu Narayan Choudhary shared the first position with 476 marks i.e. 95.2%. In science, Neha Kumari topped with 476 marks out of 500 i.e. 95.2%.

Arts Stream

In BSEB Arts stream a total of 6, 28,363 candidates appeared for the exam. Out of the total, 83.06% of girls who appeared for the BSEB class 12 Arts exam successfully qualified the exam. The pass percentage for boys is 79.04%. The overall pass percentage of the BSEB Arts stream is 81.44%.

The top five positions of the BSEB arts stream are secured by Sakshy Kumari, Mukesh Kumar, Simpi Kumari, Rohit Paswan, Gyanoday Kumar, Puja Kumari, Navin Kumar and Avdhesh Kumar.

Commerce Stream

The overall pass percentage of the BSEB Commerce stream is 93.26%. Among all three streams, the commerce stream recorded the highest pass percentage. A total of 71,004 students appeared for BSEB inter Commerce exam.

The top five positions of the BSEB commerce stream are secured by Kausar Fatima, Sudhanshu Narayan Choudhary, Beauti Raj, Rahul Kumar, Karnal Kumar, Amit Kumar, Sabiha Perween, Yashwant Raj and Somya Bhati.

Science Stream

In BSEB Science, a total of 5, 05,467 candidates appeared for the exam. Out of the whole lot, 77.39% of students successfully passed the BSEB class 12 board exam 2020. The girls and boys pass percentage this year is 79.52% and 76.5%, respectively.

The top five positions of the BSEB science stream are secured by Neha Kumari, Vikki Kumar, Jahangir Alam, Shivam Kumar Verma, Manish Kumar Jaiswal, Naveen Kumar, Gautam Kumar, Abhishek Suman, Shivani Sharma, Ujjwal Kumar, Jyotsna Shikha, Kishan Kumar, Kishan Kumar, Sushil Kumar Gupta, Shreya Kumari and Ankita Kumari.

This year's board pass percentage i.e. 80.44%  is 0.68% higher than last year's pass percentage of 79.76 %. According to the reports, the Commerce stream's pass percentage has improved marginally from 93.02% to 93.26%. The Arts stream's pass percentage has improved from 76.53% to 81.44%. However, the pass percentage in the science stream has decreased this year, from 81.20% to 77.39%.
