CBSE 10th Topper Sahajpreet Singh Ahuja plans to crack JEE and join his dream institute IIT Delhi. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced CBSE 10th, 12th results 2023 on May 12, 2023, at 3 PM. Sahaj has scored 471 marks out of 500 marks, i.e. 94.2% in CBSE 10th Board Exams 2023. In an exclusive interview with Shiksha.com, CBSE 10th Topper Sahajpreet Singh Ahuja talks about his CBSE Class 10 Board Exams preparation routine, future plans, tips of aspirants and more. Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?
A: I was quite happy with my results as I scored what I was expecting.
Q: Please tell us something about your family background.
A: My father works in Sabhyata pvt Ltd and my mother is a tutor
Please tell about the stream that you are targetting
A: I have opted for Science Stream, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM).
Q: What was your strategy to score above 90% ?
Q: Will I clear the CBSE board exams 2025 if I obtain 33 percent in theory but not in practicals separately?
No. It is necessary that you score a minimum of 33 percent in practical and theory exams separately. In case you're unable to score the minimum marks either in theory or practicals even when the total aggregate is 33 percent, you won't be considered pass.
Q: How many subjects should be included while calculating class 12th CBSE board percentage?
A: I followed a simple strategy to study for 1-1.5 hours every day consistently.
Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?
A: No, I didn't take any coaching.
Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
A: My parents and teachers encouraged me during my journey. They helped me to stay motivated and focused
Q: What was your routine during CBSE board exam preparation?
A: During my preparatory leaves I usually started studying at 11 am till 1 pm. Then I had my lunch, took some rest and again studied for another 2 hours. I kept my evenings relaxed and just revised some important topics before going to bed.
Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?
A: I aim to become an engineer in future.
Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: My favourite subjects are Science and Mathematics.
Q: Are you planning to begin preparing for any entrance exam?
A: I have started preparing for JEE exam.
Q: What is your dream college/institute?
A: I wish to get into IIT Delhi
Q: What are your future goals?
A: I aim to be a software engineer in the future.
Q: Please share some tips for students prepping up to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2024
A: My tip would be to just consistently study for 1-1.5 hours every day. Revise your syllabus, focus on NCERT, stay focused during classroom learning and stop thinking about results.
