With consistent and regular preparation and revision, Ananya Gupta secured 97% in CBSE Board Exams 2024. In an exclusive interview with Shiksha.com, Gupta shared her CBSE 12th exam preparation routine, career plans, tips for aspirants and more.

CBSE 12th Topper 2024 Ananya Gupta, Commerce student of Manav Rachna International School sec-14, Faridabad, emerged as a school topper with 97%. She has scored 93 marks in Mathematics, 97 in English, 98 in Business Studies, 96 in Economics, 98 in Accountancy, and 100 in Painting. In an exclusive interview with Shiksha.com, Gupta shared her CBSE 12th exam preparation routine, career plans, tips for aspirants and more. 

The Board announced the CBSE Result 2024 Class 12 on May 13, 2024. CBSE Board Exams 2024 were conducted from March 15 to May 2, 2024.

Q:   Where can I check and download CBSE Exam Pattern 2024 Class 10, 12?

A:

CBSE released the CBSE 10th, 12th exam pattern 2024 on the official website in April 2023. It mentions the marking scheme, weightage to every topic, duration of exam and more. Q:   Can we change marks in CBSE Marksheet?

A:

In case you feel that you should have been awarded higher marks in a subject, you can apply for revaluation or rechecking of the paper. The marks awarded after the rechecking/reval shall be considered the final marks and a new marksheet will be issued to you thereafter.  

A: When I saw the results I was taken aback, I did expect good marks in all subjects as I had practiced throughout the year. But I did not expect to score really good marks in english . 

Q: Please tell us something about your family background. 

A: My father did his Graduation from Delhi University in B.Com hons and my mother did her MA from Agra University  

Q: Please tell me about your stream, Did you choose this stream by choice? How much have you score?

A: I had commerce with mathematics as my stream. Yes, I chose this stream by my choice. 

Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%? 

A: Practicing different types of questions consistently and revising my mistakes regularly helped me to score above 95% 

Q:   What are the changes introduced in CBSE 12th Accounts exam pattern 2024?

A:

In the Accountancy subject, the CBSE Board has decided to do away with the answer books wherein tables were provided for the subject of Accountancy in 2024.

 

Q:   Where can I download the CBSE 12th marking scheme 2024 for all subjects?

A:

CBSE released the CBSE 12th marking scheme 2024 for all subjects on the official website- cbseacademic.nic.in. The subject-wise  CBSE Class 12 marking scheme can be downloaded by cliking on CBSE 12th exam pattern 2024. Students will get familiar with the exam pattern, duration of exam and the type of questions asked in exam from the marking scheme. 

Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?

A: I took offline coaching for maths amd accounts 

Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey? 

A: My teachers and parents encouraged me the most. 

Q: What was your routine during CBSE board exam preparation?

A: There was no fixed routine I followed during exams. I was just consistent with my studies. I regularly revised what was taught in school. Also, I focused on self-study. 

Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?

A: I am aiming to pursue management in future. Along with it I am interested in studying economics. 

Q: What all entrance exams you are targeting?

A: I am targeting for CUET right now.

Q: Are you well prepared for CUET and other entrance exams you are aiming for?

A: Yes, I am confident about my preparation as most of the syllabus has already been covered in boards. 

Q: What all courses and Universities/Institutes are you targeting?

A: The courses I am targeting for include BCom Hons and Economics Hons from Delhi University 

Q: Please share some tips for students prepping up to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2024

A: I would just say that be consistent, manage your time well and thoroughly study your NCERT. For subjects like economics, practice questions and stay motivated. You have got this! Aspirant focus on the following points:

  • Listen to your teachers
