With consistent preparation and revision, Saswat Panigrahi secured 99,2% in the CBSE Board Exams 2024. In an exclusive interview with Shiksha.com, Panigrahi shared her CBSE 12th exam preparation routine, career plans, tips for aspirants and more.

CBSE 12th Topper 2024 Saswat Panigrahi, a Commerce student of SAI International School, emerged as a school topper with 99.2% marks. With an amazing 496 score out of 500, Panigrahi aims to become a successful Chartered Accountant. Saswat has scored 98 marks in English, 99 marks in Accountancy, 99 marks in Business Studies, 100 marks in Economics, 99 Marns in AM, and 100 marks in Painting.  In an exclusive interview with Shiksha.com, Saswat shared her CBSE 12th exam preparation routine, career plans, tips for aspirants and more. 

The Board announced the CBSE Result 2024 Class 12 on May 13, 2024. CBSE Board Exams 2024 were conducted from March 15 to May 2, 2024.

Q:   How can I prepare for CBSE 12th exams 2025 using CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2025?

Students appearing for CBSE 12th Board Exam 2025 must understand the strategy to utilize CBSE date sheet 2025 for preparation of CBSE Board Exams 2025. A: At first I was really surprised to see the results but I was very happy with it. I scored quite more than my expectations. I was targeting a score above 95 and I was happy have scored more than that.

Q: Please tell us something about your family background.

A: My father is a chartered accountant and a businessman. And my mother is now a housewife but used to be a lecturer. She has done master’s in chemistry and also holds an MBA degree.

Q: Please tell me about your stream, did you choose this stream by choice?

A: I chose the commerce stream as I aim to pursue my further career in it. I was given complete freedom to choose my stream according to my ambitions. This was also a reason for my success as I always found my subjects quite interesting.

If you wish to enter IIT and become an engineer, you must aim for 90+ percentage, so on and so forth. 

Thus, set an aim for yourself and build a way to reach the goal and THAT shall be good enough for you.

Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%?

A: Throughout the year I mainly focused on keeping my concepts clear. This helped me as the question pattern had changed quite significantly from last year but due to my conceptual clarity I could crack them.

Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?

A: I took the help of my school teachers whenever I needed and their guidance was really helpful for me throughout the year.

Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?

A: My parents were my biggest cheerleaders, they always have been. I always wished to make them happy and proud with my results and this kept me motivated all the time. Apart from my parents all my teachers showed a lot of confidence in me and gave me right the advice whenever I needed. Also, my friends were also a essential part of my journey as they always kept my spirits quite high.

Q: What was your routine during CBSE board exam preparation?

A: I honestly did not have any fixed routine, but I made sure that whenever I study I do it without any distractions. My focus during the boards were to keep the basics clear and solve as many as questions possible.

Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?

A: In future I'm looking forward pursue Chartered Accountancy as my career. That has been my aim for a long time.

Q: What entrance exams you are targeting?

A: As I wish to pursue CA as my career, right now I'm preparing for the CA foundation exam.

Q: Please share some tips for students prepping up to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2025

A: My tip for the prepping-up students would be to focus more on understanding the concepts and try to solve more and more and questions for all the subjects. They should try to finish up the entire syllabus atleast once before the board exams.
