CBSE Results 2020: Students seeking assistance in order to make changes in their marksheet with respect to misspelled names or wrong date-of-birth read further.

CBSE Results 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education released the CBSE 12th Results 2020 and CBSE 10th Results 2020 on July 13 and July 15 respectively. The Students who appeared for CBSE 10thand CBSE 12th board exams got their original documents through their schools or through the DigiLocker accounts. In view of the ongoing pandemic situation, the majority of students downloaded their documents, i.e. CBSE 2020 Marksheet and passing certificate via DigiLocker. After the issuance of the document, CBSE is receiving complaints related to documents. Students are complaining that their document has a misspelled name and wrong date of birth.

In case of discrepancy, students can correct the particulars in their CBSE documents following the guidelines mentioned on the website, the board said. Talking about changing the name on the document, the board stated, “applications regarding changes in name or surname of candidates may be considered, provided the changes have been admitted by the Court of law and notified in the Government Gazette before the publication of the result of the candidate.”

Few students also complained that their parents’ names are swapped in the documents. On this, the board said, “application for correction in name of Candidate/Father’s/Mother’s/ Guardian’s name will be considered only within one year of the date of declaration of result.” For the same original copies of the admission form, the school leaving certificate and portion of the page of admission and withdrawal register of the school where the entry has been made in respect of the candidate should be forwarded by the head of the institution.

Students must know that the request for changing the date of birth should be made within one year of the declaration of the CBSE result 2020 and the documents should be forwarded by the head of the school.
