As the Board is conducting the exams through the MCQ method using a Demystifying OMR, CBSE has now released an important notification for the students and evaluators on its official website, i.e. cbse.gov.in.

CBSE Board Exams 2022: Central Board of Secondary Education has commenced CBSE Term 1 Exams 2022 from November 16 and 17 for classes 12, 10 respectively. As the Board is conducting the exams through the MCQ method using a Demystifying OMR, CBSE has now released an important notification for the students and evaluators on its official website, i.e. cbse.gov.in. The latest notice released by the Board is in regards to the use of OMR sheets in these Board exams. Through this latest notification, the Board has informed CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th students on the method of marking responses in the OMR sheet and how evaluators are supposed to assess these sheets with the marked answers.

The official notice from CBSE reads, "It is further informed that if students are instructed to attempt 45 questions out of 50 in some subjects and all 50 responses have been marked/responded by the candidate without darkening 5 questions in the circle given under the mark (#) which is meant for a question not attempted, only first 45 questions will be evaluated. The last 5 questions will be considered as not attempted questions. In no manner best of 45 are not to be evaluated." The notice also informs that, "CBSE has released a video on 'Demystifying OMR'. The link of the video is https://youtu.be/RTQJj4xDxQ".

Students must note that the questions for CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022 are supposed to be attempted by marking the responses by “Completely darkening of the circle.” The Board will not consider any other way as a “correct method”. The notification also consists of a visual representation of the same along with some necessary instructions.
