Coronavirus impact: List of school board exams postponed, rescheduled amid Lockdown

Many board examinations have been deferred until further notice while some examinations stand cancelled in the wake of Coronavirus Lockdown in the nation. Some examination have also been rescheduled. Check out the list of board exams postponed in the article below.

The education sector has had a major impact due to the spread of Coronavirus in the country. To curb its spread, a nationwide lockdown has been imposed since March 25, 2020. Many institutions were shut and examinations were deferred in compliance with the government's orders. Now with the condition worsening each day, state boards have no other option but to either postpone or cancel their examinations. While many state board examinations were conducted successfully before the lockdown was imposed, several examinations are yet to be conducted. Listed below are the postponed/cancelled examinations amid Coronavirus Lockdown:

Board examinations postponed/cancelled/rescheduled

• Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

   CBSE 12^th examinations have been rescheduled and will now be held between July 1 and July 15, 2020. While CBSE 10^th exams have concluded for the entire country (last exam of Computer applications has now been cancelled) except for North-East Delhi students as their exams were postponed earlier due to the riots. The remaining CBSE class 10, 12 exams will take place between July 1 and July 15, 2020.

• Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE and ISC)

  The CISCE has rescheduled all its postponed examinations for ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12. The examinations are now scheduled to be conducted between July 1 and July 14, 2020.

• National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

  The NIOS 10^th and NIOS 12^th examinations have been rescheduled. The NIOS 10th, 12th examinations will now be conducted between July 17 and August 13, 2020.

• Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE)

  Rajasthan Board has rescheduled the RBSE 10^th and RBSE 12^th examinations. As per the revised timetable, RBSE 10th exams would be conducted from June 27 to June 30, 2020.  While, RBSE 12th examinations are slated to take place from June 18, 2020, till June 30, 2020.

• Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE)

  MPBSE Class 10 and MPBSE Class 12 examinations will be conducted only for crucial subjects. MP Board released the revised MPBSE 12th Admit Card 2020 for pending papers of MP Board 12th Exam 2020. According to the MP Board 12^th revised date sheet, the pending papers for MP Board 12^th exams 2020 are scheduled to begin from June 9, 2020 onwards.

• Punjab School Education Board (PSEB)

  PSEB 10^th pending examinations have been cancelled and the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the PSEB 10th Result 2020 on the basis of their pre-board examinations, on its official website on May 29, 2020. All the students will be able to check their PSEB 10th Result 2020 using their roll number or name. The PSEB 12^th examinations still stand postponed.

• Telangana Board

  The Telangana SSC board exams 2020 have now been cancelled and the board will promote all Class 10th students to the next class on the basis of their internal examinations. While, for TS Intermediate students, the TS Inter Result 2020 will be declared by June 15, 2020.

• Board of School Education Haryana (HBSE)
  

  HBSE 12^th examinations for the pending papers will be conducted between July 1 and July 15. Earlier, HBSE 12th examinations scheduled after March 19 had to be postponed due to coronavirus outbreak in the country. The same has been decided for HBSE 10th examinations. 

• Jammu and Kashmir State Board (JKBOSE)

  Jammu and Kashmir State Board (JKBOSE) has postponed all its JKBOSE 10^th and JKBOSE 12^th examinations till further orders. However, the evaluation process has commenced for the examinations which were conducted before the lockdown.

• Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE)

  Goa SSC board 2020 examinations that were postponed have now been conducted.

• Karnataka Board

  Karnataka SSLC examinations have now been rescheduled between June 25 and July 4, 2020. Karnataka II PUC English exam to be conducted on June 18.

• Andhra Pradesh Board

  AP Class 10 examinations as per the revised AP SSC Date Sheet, will begin on July 10 and conclude on July 15, 2020. According to the revised AP Intermediate Time Table 2020, the exams for Modern Language 2, and Geography 2 for AP 2^nd year intermediate students was scheduled to be held on June 3.

• Meghalaya Board (MBOSE)

  MBOSE HSSLC pending exams for Mathematics, Physical Education and Statistics to be conducted on June 8, 9 and 10 respectively.

• Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE)

         HPBOSE 10th examinations have been successfully conducted and the HPBOSE 10th Result can be expected in the month of June. HPBOSE 12th pending examination for Geography subject was conduetd on June 8, 2020.

• Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE)

         UBSE Class 10 and UBSE Class 12 examinations which were earlier postponed in the wake of Coronavirus have now been rescheduled from June 20 to June 23, 2020.

• Tamil Nadu Board

  Tamil Nadu Board SSLC pending exams have been cancelled, while for TN 12th, students who couldn’t appear for TN 12th final paper of Chemistry, Accounting, Geography, which was scheduled to be held on March 24, 2020, can now reappear for the same on June 4, 2020. 

• West Bengal Council & Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)

          The WBCHSE board examinations 2020 which were earlier postponed will now be held on July 2, 6, and 7, while WBBSE examinations have been successfully conducted.

• Kerala Board

         Kerala Plus two exams have been postponed again.

• Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE)

  This year, owing to circumstances due to COVID-19 outbreak, the pending examinations for CGBSE 12th and CGBSE 10th stand cancelled.

• Mizoram Board

         Mizoram HSSLC class 12 rescheduled board examinations for the remaining subjects in Arts, Science and Commerce streams have been postponed till further orders.

• Maharashtra Board (MSBSHSE)

         Maharashtra SSC pending exam of Geography has now been cancelled. Maharashtra SSC, HSC Results are expected in the month of June.

Board examinations successfully conducted

• Telangana Board

         The state board has conducted the TS inter 2020 examinations and the result is awaited.

• Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB)

        The GSEB 10th and GSEB 12th examinations 2020 have been conducted. GSEB SSC Results have been declared, GSEB HSC Result for Science stream has also been declared.

• Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB)

        Bihar Board 10th and Bihar Board 12th examinations have been conducted for the current academic year. While, the Bihar Board 12th Result 2020 was declared on March 24, 2020,  Bihar Board 10th Result 2020 was released on May 26, 2020.

• Maharashtra Board

         Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has conducted the Maharashtra HSC 2020 exams between February 18 and March 18.

• West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE)

         The WBBSE Class 10 exams 2020 have been conducted for the current academic year.
