The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that it will start the evaluation process for class 10th board exam sheet from Wednesday i.e. May 6 amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
With this announcement, the candidates who had appeared for the BSEB Class 10 examinations can now expect their Bihar Board 10th results soon.
On March 24, BSEB 12th Board results were declared by the Board for all streams i.e., arts, science, and commerce.
"The Board is trying to find out ways to carry out the evaluation work. About 25 percent of answer sheets remains unchecked, for which less number of evaluators will be required. Keeping this in mind the evaluation work will be resumed from tomorrow and it will take a week's time to finish it," Anand Kishore, Chairman, BSEB.
The evaluation work will be done while keeping in mind the precautions and social distancing directives issued by the government, in order to keep the evaluators safe, he added.
On March 22, the BSEB had suspended all evaluation work for Class 10th board exam answer sheets in wake of coronavirus lockdown. Initially, the Board had suspended the evaluation process until April 14. However, after the lockdown was extended it was again suspended until May 3. Later, with the announcement of Lockdown 3.0, the suspension was again extended until May 17. Now the board has announced that the evaluation process will resume from May 6.
The Bihar government had earlier announced to promote students from Classes 1 to 9 and 11. With Class 12 results being declared only class 10 result is pending.
Over 15.29 lakh students had appeared for BSEB Class 10 exams. The exams had been concluded on February 24 and students have been awaiting results.
