Coronavirus Threat: Telangana SSC Board exam 2020 postponed AGAIN!

This time the Telangana SSC Board postponed the exams for an indefinite period. The official notice states that the new dates for the board examinations will be announced later. 

The Telangana State Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination postponed the Board exams again due to the nationwide lockdown till April 14. Earlier, the Board exams that started on March 19 were postponed until March 31. The Board postponed the examinations after the Telangana High Court intervened in the matter and ordered to postpone the Telangana SSC board exams 2020 due to the COVID-19 spread. The TS SSC exams were deferred from March 23, onwards. According to the new schedule, the board was supposed to conduct the examinations from March 31 onwards until April 6. However, this time the Telangana SSC Board postponed the exams for an indefinite period. The official notice states that the new dates for the board examinations will be announced later. 

The official notification regarding the postponement of the examination states 'as per the latest orders issued for the extension of Lockdown up to 14-04-2020 by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Government of Telangana, Hyderabad vide G.O.Ms.No.54, Dated:28-03-2020 of General Administration (COVID) Department, Remaining SSC March 2020 Public Examinations which are scheduled to be held from 31-03-2020 to 06-04-2020 are also postponed. The rescheduled dates of SSC and other examinations will be intimated later.'

Earlier, amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Telangana Board had decided to go on with the SSC exams. The directorate of government examinations made it clear that TS SSC Board examinations will be conducted as per the decided schedule and no change will be made due to the outbreak of coronavirus. The TS SSC Board conducted an on March 20 as well. However, with the court’s order, the Board had to postpone the exams March 23 onwards until March 31.

The TS Board examination was scheduled to conclude on April 6, 2020. According to the schedule released by the government examination director, SSC, OSSC and SSC vocational course public examination the timing of the examination is between 9:30 am - 12:151/2:45 pm.

In order to curb the spread of COVID-19 during examinations, the state government ordered that students can write examination wearing masks. They can carry protective masks, water bottles, and hand sanitizers to the examinations hall. The authorities said that liquid soaps and hand sanitizers are available in the examination hall as a precautionary measure.

A total of 5, 34,903 students are appearing for TS Board examinations this year. The Board had deployed nearly 30,500 teachers for invigilation duties during the examinations. The government had also kept 2,530 reserved invigilators so that the unwell invigilators can leave immediately. To ensure that students don’t gather in large groups, they were allowed to enter the examination centre from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. 5 minutes grace time will also be provided.

However, considering the severe conditions due to the outbreak of the pandemic and state HC's orders, the Board has finally postponed the examinations and advised the students to stay inside and take all the preventive measures to keep themselves safe from the coronavirus.

so it means almost 10 lakhs people will be getting to get out of their homes for simply exams??? exam in important or LIFE, the education minister you are a mother too imagine the consequences and take a step please.
