The Meghalaya Board of School Education has postponed all the remaining class 12th examination till indefinite time amid coronavirus outbreak.
As a precautionary measure amid coronavirus outbreak, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has postponed its ongoing Class 12th (HSSLC) examinations for an indefinite time. The state government has asked the Meghalaya Board to postpone all the remaining MBOSE HSSLC examinations until further notice.
Responding to the move, TR Laloo, Board’s controller of examination said that this is being done to ensure the safety of our students due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The spot evaluation has also been postponed along with the examinations that were scheduled to be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week, Laloo said.
A total of 30,697 students appeared for the MBOSE HSSLC (Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examinations which had started on March 2.
In order to avoid the spread of coronavirus, many schools, colleges, and other educational institutions around the country have been shut until March 31. With the rising number of positive cases, the Government of India has also locked down some of the major cities and districts in the country.
In order to keep the student engaged and make up for their studies, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has also come out with a list of digital learning portals and DTH channels.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has also postponed all remaining class 10th and 12th Board examination, to safeguard all the students, teachers and staff from this pandemic.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the country rose to 415 today after 30 fresh cases were reported, as per the data released by the Health Ministry.
