COVID-19: Punjab board exams 2020 for class 5, 10, and 12 postponed again

Earlier, Punjab School Examination Board (PSEB) released a revised datesheet for the postponed exams. On March 20, 2020, the state board postponed the examinations due to the outbreak of the deadly pandemic, coronavirus.

Amid the nationwide lockdown until March 14, Punjab board examinations for classes 5th, 10th, and 12th are postponed again. In order to control the coronavirus spread in the country, PM Modi announced a complete lockdown in the country and advised people to practice social distancing by staying inside the house. Expecting the lockdown to end by March 31, PSEB rescheduled the board exams for class 5 from April 1 to April 3. The exams for PSEB 10th were rescheduled to begin on April 3 and conclude on April 23, and the exams for PSEB 12th were scheduled to re-commence on April 3 and conclude on April 18, 2020. However, the 21 days lockdown further postponed the examinations. According to the reports, fresh dates for the postponed examinations will be released by the Board soon. 

Punjab School Examination Board (PSEB) released a revised datesheet for the postponed exams. On March 20, 2020, the state board postponed the examinations due to the outbreak of the deadly pandemic, coronavirus. However, in order to provide students a timeframe to prepare for the board exams again, PSEB has become the first state board to release the revised datesheet for class 5 (Primary), class 10 (Matric), and class 12 (Senior Secondary). According to Punjab Board Exam 2020 revised datesheet, the postponed exams will begin from April onwards. The Board confirmed the news by releasing several official notices regarding the same.

PSEB Class 5: Revised datesheet for postponed exams

According to the official notification, PSEB will begin the class 5 Board exams from April 1 and conclude the same on April 3. The examinations will take place in the morning session i.e. 10 am to 1:15 pm. PSEB class 5 subject-wise datesheet mentioned below:

PSEB Class 10: Revised datesheet for postponed exams

Students appearing for PSEB class 10 examinations must start their preparations now. According to the revised dates, the PSEB class 10 postponed exams will begin on April 3 and conclude on April 23. The exams will be held in the morning session i.e. 10 am to 1:15 pm.

The PSEB class 12 examinations will begin will the PSEB class 10 exams. According to the revised datesheet, the examinations will begin on April 3 and conclude on April 23.

According to the latest development, PM announced 21 days nationwide lockdown on March 24. The step is taken to make people practice social distancing and control the novel coronavirus spread in the country.
