ICSE Results 2020: Assessment Scheme to declare ICSE, ISC Results 2020 RELEASED

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination released the assessment scheme in order to declare ICSE Results 2020 and ISC Results 2020. 

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) released the assessment scheme for evaluating the remaining subjects of ICSE 10^th Board Exams and ISC 12^th Board Exams 2020. The Council cancelled the remaining ICSE Board Exams and ISC Board exams considering the rising novel coronavirus cases in the country. According to the ICSE 2020 Time Table and ISC 2020 Time Table, the pending 10^th, 12^th board exams were scheduled to be conducted between July 1 and July 14.  

On June 26, the Council informed Supreme Court, which was hearing a plea seeking cancellation of pending board exams, that it would upload the assessment scheme to be used to generate ICSE Results 2020 and ISC Results 2020, within a week on its official website i.e. https://www.cisce.org/.

In order to evaluate the cancelled ICSE board exams and ISC board exams and generate ICSE Results 2020 and ISC Results 2020, the Council will consider the following factors while computing a student's marks in the cancelled papers:

1. Average of a student's best three papers marks in board examination
2. Subject internal assessment (for class 10)/ Subject project and practical work
3. Percentage subject internal assessment (for ICSE i.e. Class 10)/ Percentage subject Project and Practical Work (for ISC i.e. Class 12)

According to CISCE, the internal assessment component measures a student's proficiency and the average marks in best three subject measures their general academic ability while compiling ICSE Results 2020 and ISC Results 2020.

The Council did a detailed analysis of the data from the past board examinations from 2015 to 2019 as well as the year 2020 board exams. The factors and weightage to each factor was chosen so as to 'ensure fairness to all the candidates' who appeared in the board examinations this year.

To release ISC Results 2020, the same formula will be used to calculate marks for the subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, Geography, Biology and Home Science. However, the formula is slightly different for Elective English, and Art Paper.

As told by the Council earlier, the ICSE Results 2020 and ISC Results 2020 would be released by July 15. The exact result dates would be notified through its official website.
