The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) released the JKBOSE 10th results 2020 i.e. JKBOSE Result of Secondary School Examination Annual Regular 2020 (Class 10th) (Summer-Zone) Jammu Division today i.e. June 15, 2020. According to the official stats released by the board, the JKBOSE 10th result 2020 Overall Pass Percentage is recorded as 70 per cent. The Pass Percentage among Male Students is recorded as 68%, whereas the girls outshone the boys with the pass percentage of 72%. The total number of students who passed from government schools are 15,708 and the total number of students who passed from private schools are 21,750.
All the students who appeared for the JKBOSE 10th examinations this year will be able to check their JKBOSE 10th Result 2020 by entering their respective roll numbers into the login window. According to the earlier reports, the Jammu and Kashmir administration along with the board decided to allow home evaluation for the answer sheets of class 10 and 12 exams conducted before the lockdown. The education board of Jammu and Kashmir decided to begin the evaluation process of JKBOSE 10th and JKBOSE 12th answer sheets in 'work from home' mode where the teachers and evaluators will be allowed to complete the evaluation from home itself. Considering it as a one-time exception, the Jammu and Kashmir Board decided to let the evaluators and examiners check the class 10 and 12 answer sheets at home.

According to the official statement shared by the JKBOSE, a total of 28111 students from government schools appeared for the JKBOSE Class 10 Board Exam 2020 held in Feb – March of which 15708 students cleared the exam with flying colors. This takes the overall pass percentage for JKBOSE 10th Result 2020 for govt schools to 55.88%. On similar lines, for private schools, a total of 25696 students appeared for the exam, of which 21750 cleared the test, taking the pass percentage to 84.64.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board issued an order stating that the remaining unevaluated answer sheets of the JKBOSE class 10 and 12 exams will be issued to the examiners for evaluation in order to release JKBOSE 10th Result 2020 and JKBOSE 12th Result 2020. The notice clearly stated that the evaluation must be done after taking up necessary measures. To maintain the safety, security, and confidentiality of the answer sheets the Joint Secretary will work out all the required measures.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board had postponed the JKBOSE 10th board exams 2020 and JKBOSE 12th board exams 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown in the country. Earlier the reports suggested that the board will release JKBOSE 10th Date Sheet 2020 and JKBOSE 12th Date Sheet 2020 for pending exams once the normalcy is restored. However, instead of releasing the date sheet, JKBOSE suddenly released the JKBOSE 10th results.

JKBOSE 10th Result 2020 Passing Marks
JKBOSE will provide an eligibility certificate to the student along with JKBOSE 10th class result 2020. This eligibility certificate will mention if the student has passed JKBOSE class 10 or not. The passing criteria for JKBOSE 10th Result 2020 has been explained below:
- A candidate will have to secure at least 33% marks in each subject to pass each exam.
- A candidate will have to secure at least 33% aggregate marks in five compulsory subjects excluding additional or optional subjects.

JKBOSE gives another chance to the candidates to fails to secure qualifying marks in the JKBOSE 10th exam. A candidate who is not able to clear one or more subjects can apply for compartment exam and save a year of academic study by qualifying the same.
