According to the reports, Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar confirmed that Karnataka SSLC exam 2020 is not cancelled.

Karnataka SSLC exam 2020 is not cancelled. According to the reports, Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar confirmed that the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 will be conducted. The examination is not cancelled this year due to COVID-19 outbreak followed by the lockdown. The minister urged students and parents to wait for the official announcement on the official site of Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB).

The education minister further added that any decision on cancelling the exam will be taken after May 3, after the lockdown ends. People are requested not to spread or believe any rumours until an official notification comes from the board. The minister further added that students and parents flooded the department with calls and messages asking about the cancellation of the KSEEB 10^th exam. He also revealed that many parents are not in favour of the cancellation of the examinations. Several worried students even said that they have studied hard and want to appear for the exam.

Earlier, Karnataka SSLC examination was rescheduled to be held from April 20, 2020. The exam got postponed again when the central government extended the lockdown until May 3. According to the minister, the new dates would be announced a week before the commencement of the examination.

Meanwhile, the Board is offering a crash course to Class 10 students who will appear for the Karnataka SSLC exam. The crash course will be for a period of one week and students who will appear for Class 10 Board examination this year can avail it.
