Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar announced that the SSLC exams will be held as soon as possible.

Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar announced that the SSLC exams will be held as soon as possible. According to the reports, the state education minister asked the officials to be prepared for the Karnataka SSLC examination. The Primary Education Minister directed the guidelines to all Deputy Directors of Education departments.

In the official statement, the education minister of the state said that Sanitisers, masks, screening, and all guidelines will be followed at exam halls while conducting Karnataka SSLC exams.

Earlier, the state education department said that the decision regarding conducting the SSLC and PUC annual examinations will be made on April 14, the day the COVID-19 lockdown was expected to end, but, according to the reports, the board officials expressed that It is risky to conduct any examinations at least till mid-May due to the prevailing health crisis.

The Karnataka SSLC examination was rescheduled to be held from April 20, 2020. The exam got postponed again when the central government extended the lockdown until May 3. According to the minister, the new dates would be announced a week before the commencement of the examination.

Now, that the nationwide lockdown is extended until May 17, it is expected that new dates will be announced after the lockdown is lifted. The state is yet to conduct pending Karnataka SSLC board exams (Class 10) and Karnataka 2nd PUC board exam (Class 12). However, the board is not able to release the revised Karnataka SSLC Time Table 2020 and Karnataka 2nd PUC Time Table 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown. 

Meanwhile, the Board is offering a crash course to Class 10 students who will appear for the Karnataka SSLC exam. The crash course will be for a period of one week and students who will appear for Class 10 Board examination this year can avail it.
