The Kerala state government has announced that it has postponed all the examinations again that were scheduled to be held from May 21 to 29, 2020.
With the extension in nationwide coronavirus lockdown period until May 31, the Kerala state government has announced that it has postponed all the examinations which were supposed to be conducted between May 21 to May 29, 2020.
The examinations that have been postponed include Kerala SSLC, plus one and Kerala 12th Board examinations.
The decision to postponed the examinations was taken after a high-level meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The exams are now scheduled to be conducted in June 2020.
Earlier, the Kerala Education Department had scheduled to conduct the remaining SSLC, plus one and Class 12 exam from May 21 to 29. The time table for the same was also released by the department.
The exams were scheduled to be conducted from March 13 to March 26, however, due to coronavirus outbreak in the country the exams which were to be conducted between March 23 and 26 were postponed.
Earlier, the Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had directed all state and central boards to start the evaluation process for the exams that are already been conducted and come out with a date sheet for the pending ones.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) later announced that it will conduct the pending exam for 29 main papers of CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th from July 1 to July 15, 2020. The CBSE has already started the evaluation process for the exam papers which were already conducted before the lockdown. CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 is expected to be released in August.
