The second phase of the nationwide lockdown i.e. lockdown 2.0 further delayed the MBOSE HSSLC Board pending exams.  According to the reports, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) is likely to conduct the pending exams for MBOSE HSSLC students from May 20 onwards. According to the statement released by State Education Minister Lakhmen Rymbui, the Meghalaya Board is also expected to release the MBOSE HSSLC Result 2020 by June 10, 2020. Meanwhile, a report published by a local media states that the Meghalaya government is planning to hold MBOSE HSSLC Exam 2020 for class 12 students by May 31.

The outbreak of the pandemic novel coronavirus and the extended lockdown imposed to contain the virus spread postponed 4 exams of MBOSE HSSLC students. The list of exams that are yet to be conducted includes Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Education and Western Music. According to the reports, around 3000 students are supposed to appear for the Mathematics exams. The Board will release revised MBOSE HSSLC Date Sheet 2020 for the pending exams soon.  

In order to declare Meghalaya HSSLC Result 2020 on time, the state government reached out to MBOSE to make the necessary arrangements. According to an announcement made by the state education minister, State Principal Secretary sent a formal letter to MBOSE Chairman MHK Marak, informing him that state government will be arranging curfew passes for all the teachers and evaluators involved in the paper checking process. The government will arrange curfew passes from Shillong to Tura, where the board headquarters is located.
