NIOS Admission 2024-25 (Class 10th 10 & 12th): Last Date, Fees, How to Apply

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) completed the NIOS Admissions 2024-25 for classes 10, 12. They have opened the NIOS 10th, 12th exam registration window for April/May 2025 exams. Students can do registration without late fee from Nov 21 to Dec 20, 2024. With late fee of Rs 150 per subject, they can do registration from Dec 21, 2024 to Dec 31, 2024. With consolidated late fee of Rs 1,600 per learner, registration can be done from Jan 1 to Jan 10, 2025. 

NIOS 10th, 12th admission 2024-25 window for October exams was opened from September 16, 2024. Students can register for NIOS admission 2024-25 in online mode on the official website - nios.ac.in by filling the NIOS admission form. The last date for NIOS online admission was July 31, 2024 without any late fine. The NIOS admission for 12th class last date was September 15, 2024 with late fee. Candidates have to pay the requisite NIOS admission 2024-25 fee and upload the required documents,through NIOS login, to complete the NIOS admission 2024-25.

Candidates who cleared class 8th and have reached 14 years of age can apply for NIOS 10th admission 2024-25. Those who passed class 10 can apply for NIOS 12th admission 2024-25.

Eligibility for NIOS 2024-25 Admission 

Those who meet the NIOS eligibility criteria can apply for NIOS 2024-25 admission. Given below are the requirements that must be fulfilled by students in order to go ahead with online NIOS admission 2024-25.

Age Criteria for NIOS Admission 2024-25

The minimum age required for NIOS registration 2024-25 for Class 10 is 14 years as on July 31 whereas a student should be at least 15 years old to apply for NIOS 12^th admission 2024-25.

Educational Qualification

NIOS 10^th admission: Students must have cleared class 8 from a recognized board of education or must possess enough knowledge to sit for the class 10 exam I.e a candidate has to give a self-certificate stating that they have studied enough to be eligible for NIOS 10th registration 2024-25.

NIOS 12^th admission: Students must have cleared class 10 from a recognized board to be eligible for NIOS class 12 registration 2024-25. Students who apply immediately after passing Class 10 will not be allowed to sit for the exams for all the subjects in one attempt.

NIOS released the registration dates for April-May 2025 Exam. The schedule for registration and payment of examination fees for secondary and Senior Secondary subjects to be conducted in April-May 2025 is given below.

NIOS Admission Dates for April/May 2025 Exams (Block 1)

Students who wish to apply for NIOS 10^th, 12^th admission 2024-25 must know that the last date to apply for NIOS online admission without any late fine was July 31. However, they can apply for admission till August 15 with a late fee of Rs 200; from August 16 to 31 with a late fine of Rs 400; and can apply between September 1 to 15 with a late fine of Rs 700. How to apply for NIOS Admission 2024-25?

Students can follow the steps below to register for NIOS 10^th, 12^th admission 2024-25. It should be noted that the NIOS registration can be done online only.

• Visit the official website at nios.ac.in
• Click on the Admission tab on the left and then on Academic from the scroll down options
• Then select Stream I (April/May 2023) to apply for admission to Stream 1 Block I -2023
• The online application form will open on the screen
• Fill in the state, identity type, identity number and the course you are eligible for accurately

• Submit details
• Now, a window asking for the candidate’s basic details will open as shared below

• Verify the mobile number and email ID and submit details
• Next, a candidate can select the subjects for which they want to appear and also choose the exam centre
• Now, upload the scanned/soft copy of the documents and submit
• Check the form carefully for its accuracy before the final submission
• Make the payment and now the student has applied for the NIOS admission
• They can track their NIOS admission status online

NIOS admission 2024-25: List of documents required

Students applying for NIOS 2024-25 admission have to upload scanned copies of their academic documents and ID proof. The list of documents required for NIOS online admission 2024-25 are listed below:

• Aadhaar card or passport or ration card or other identity proof
• Birth certificate for proof of date of birth
• Address proof i.e. Aadhaar card/water bill/electricity bill/voter ID/ration card
• Signature (preferably in black ink)
• Recent passport size colour photograph
• Class 8th marksheet for students applying for the secondary course or NIOS class 10
• Class 10th marksheet for students applying for the senior secondary course or NIOS class 12
• Disability certificate for PwD candidates
• Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
• Ex-serviceman certificate for candidates applying under the Ex-serviceman category

NIOS Admission Fees 2024-25

A student needs to pay the admission fee to complete his/her NIOS registration. The fees will have to be deposited online through netbanking/debit card or credit card.  The NIOS 10^th, 12^th admission fees for different category of students is given below:

In addition to the above, one needs to pay Rs 720 per subject for each additional subject. To register for that, students will need to pay Rs 50 as the cost of the online application form. After successful application, students will need to fill NIOS exam form and pay the NIOS exam fees 2024 to be eligible to sit for exams.

NIOS Admission Status 2024-25

Candidates should start preparation for the exams after ompleting the online NIOS form. They have to go through NIOS syllabus 2024 and prepare well accordingly. They have to keep an eye on their NIOS 2024-25 admission status using the login window.

What After Getting NIOS Admission 2024-25?

• After the confirmation of the NIOS 2024-25 admission, the enrollment number is sent to student on the registered mobile number and Email ID.
• NIOS id card download is to be done through NIOS students portal.
• Once NIOS admission is confirmed, candidates have to pay NIOS exam fees to submit the examination form for April 2025 exams.
• Wait for the NIOS exam dates 2025 for block 2 exams release.
