National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is all set to declare NIOS 10^th and NIOS 12^th results 2020 soon. On July 15, 2020, the Supreme Court directed NIOS to ensure that NIOS Results 2020 of the current academic year are declared by August 7.

According to an official notification by NIOS on July 10, the open schooling institute cancelled the NIOS 10th as well as NIOS 12th examinations, which were earlier rescheduled, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The same was informed by a bench headed by Justice A M Khanwilkar during the hearing. The Bench also comprising Justices Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjiv Khanna stated, "Considering the fact that...NIOS has already issued notification on July 10, 2020, after institution of these petition(s), nothing survives for consideration in the present writ petition(s) except to observe that...NIOS must ensure that the result for the current academic year is declared not later than August 7, 2020." "In other words, the time-line for declaring the results by...NIOS is now specified as August 7," the bench said.

In its latest notification, NIOS clearly stated that it is decided, "Conduct of March 2020 secondary and senior secondary course public examination rescheduled to commence from July 17, 2020 and further postponed, now stands cancelled". Initially, the NIOS exams 2020 for classes 10 and 12 were scheduled to begin from March 24, 2020, and conclude on April 24 2020, according to the original NIOS 10th Datesheet 2020 and NIOS 12th Datesheet 2020.

Meanwhile, along with the notice of the cancellation of the NIOS 10^th and NIOS 12^th exams, NIOS also released the assessment scheme for declaring the NIOS 10th Result 2020 and NIOS 12th Result 2020 for the past learners as well as the first-time learners. As per the official NIOS notification regarding the NIOS 10th, 12th exams 2020 cancellation, the NIOS 10th Result 2020 and NIOS 12th Results 2020 will be compiled according to the assessment scheme. The NIOS Result 2020 will be declared soon.

How to check NIOS 10th,12th Result online?

To check the NIOS Result 2020 for Class 10 online, students can follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Open the official result portal of NIOS- results.nios.ac.in/home/public-exam
Step 2: Enter your enrollment number and captcha and click on 'submit'.
Step 3: Download your NIOS Result 2020 and take a print out.

Step 4: Students must secure a copy of their NIOS 10th Result 2020 for future reference
