Odisha Matric Exams 2020: Evaluation process begins May 20

The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is all set to begin the evaluation process of the Odisha Matric Exams 2020.

The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is all set to begin the evaluation process of the Odisha Matric Exams 2020. According to the reports, the evaluation of Odisha 10^th board exam marksheets will begin on May 20. The class 10 board exams are also known as matric exam in the state. As the reports suggest, the Odisha BSE assigned 60 centres across the state for the evaluation and appointed 6000 extra evaluators for the task. The Board also directed the task force appointed to begin the evaluation of the Odisha 10^th board exam answer sheets to follow the precautionary and advisory laid down by the Ministry of Health in order to prevent COVID-19 spread.

According to the sources, the State Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash stated that Odisha Matric Exams 2020 result will be released in the month of July.

The evaluation of the Matric papers was held for two days i.e. on March 18 and March 19, before being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Odisha matric exam 2020 was conducted from February 19 to March 2 and over 5 lakh students had appeared for the exam.

During the exams, a total of 887 students were booked for cheating, Examination Controller Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said, adding, a record number of 150 students were booked for malpractice on the last day of the examination.

In February, while addressing the media, the education minister of the state said, "Students who are weak in studies need special attention. Under the 'zero fail mission', we want to make sure that all schools in Odisha attain 100 per cent results.”
