Coronavirus: AIFF’s to conduct Masters Football Management programme entrance exam online

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has decided to conduct its Masters Football Management programme entrance examination online. The exam is scheduled to take place on Sunday. Its first set of entrance examinations was held on February 23 across the country while the second set will be conducted on March 29. On Monday, the first set of entrance examination was conducted offline. But considering the present health crisis in mind, the AIFF has decided to conduct this exam online. The AIFF Masters Football Management Programme is the country’s flagship international one-year post-graduate programme employed across three cities — Mumbai (St. Xaviers College), New Delhi (AIFF office) and Cadiz in Spain.

AIFF Masters is a first-of-its-kind project taken by any of the country’s sporting bodies. It is likely to help passionate youngsters to follow a professional career in sports, especially football. Indian Football is growing and this initiative by AIFF will prove to be a revolutionary one in the near future. The students of this programme get an opportunity to spend a month in Cadiz, Spain, to learn and experience how a European football club is managed first hand.

For this arrangement, the AIFF has signed an MoU with the club that plays in Spanish second division. A stretch with a UEFA-recognised club, which is fully remunerated by the federation, offers a student a chance to get rigorous and wide experience in European club management, player management, scouting, analysis marketing, and operations.
