GAT 2022: Important Online Examination Instructions

GITAM Deemed to be University will conduct GAT 2022 exam for UG and PG programmes in online mode. Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the exam will be held in online proctored mode. Test takers can take the GAT 2022 exam from their homes. Candidates appearing for exams must know the important online exam guidelines. GITAM GAT 2022 exam will be held from April 11 to April 1, 2022. Candidates can apply for the slot as per their preference while filling the application form.
GAT 2022: Important Online Examination Instructions
- The candidate must have familiarity with the operation of the keyboard and mouse. Candidates must acquire the necessary skills to operate the computer before appearing for the online examination.
- All the test takers will have different sets of questions. The expert committee will ensure that the sets are of equal standard, questions type, content and so forth.
- Test takers will be able to log in anytime between 9 AM to 4 PM to take the GAT 2022 exam. Candidates must not close or take a break once logged in.
- Test takers must be familiar with the GAT exam pattern and GAT syllabus before appearing for the exam.
- Registered candidates will be able to view the login credentials on the application portal one day prior to the exam scheduled. Candidates must click on the link provided to get the login credentials- Click here.
- Candidates will be able to take the GAT 2022 exam from desktop/laptop or mobile phones.

Candidates appearing for the GAT exam must ensure they fulfil the prescribed requirements and follow the steps to appear for the exam without any hassle.
Requirements for Desktop/Laptop
- Webcam/Microphone are mandatory
- Disable the Antivirus, Ads, Screen Savers, and notifications on the laptop
- Latest version of Google Chrome
- Internet connection with 1 MBPS speed

- Password (Shared to the registered email ID/ Mobile number)
How to Start the Assessment on Laptop/Desktop
Step 1- Visit the link provided- Click here
Step 2- Enter the login details:
- Application Number
- Password
- Passkey
- Click on start assessment
Step 3- Screen will display the pop-up and give the consent by clicking on the tab ‘Accept’ for the Webcam
Step 4- The platform will automatically check the system specifications. Read the instructions carefully and click on the tab ‘start now’
Step 5- Allow all the popups that will appear.
Step 6- Check the positioning of the webcam and the photo will be captured automatically in 5 seconds. A photo can be re-clicked by clicking on the tab ‘Click Again’. This step is used for verification purposes
Step 7- Once a photo is captured, click on the tab ‘Start Test’
Step 8- Enable the fullscreen on the pop up that will appear
GAT 2022 Online Exam Instructions: Mobile Application Manual

- Install the latest version of Goggle Chrome Browser
- The front/back camera should be functioning properly
- The mobile app for the online exams will not be supportive on IOS devices.
- Keep the phone on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode.
- Disable the applications- True caller, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other notifications for the duration of the test.
Steps to Download Mobile Application
Step 1- From the Google Play store download ‘CoCubes Assessment’ or click here
Step 2- Open the app once downloaded and click on ‘Give Permissions’
Step 3- Allow the CoCubes application to assess the following features:
- Photos/Medias
- Device location
- Take pictures and record videos
- Record audio
Step 4- Give permission for the notifications that will appear.
Step 5- Enable ‘Allow Display’
Step 6- Go back and open the application again
Step 7- Enter the assessment URL as – gat2021 and click on the tab continue
Step 8- Now enter the following login details:
- Application Number
- Password
- Passkey
Step 9- Read all the terms and conditions and click on ‘Accept’
Step 10- After this step, the system does a check on the infrastructure of the system and displays a message as “You are Good to Go”
Step 11- All the access to webcam and microphone if requested in a popup
Step 12- Check the positioning of the webcam and the photo will be captured automatically in 5 seconds. A photo can be re-clicked by clicking on the tab ‘Click Again’. This step is used for verification purposes
Step 13- Once the photo is captured, click on the tab ‘Start Test’

Do’s
- Charge the laptop or mobile well in advance
- Students must have the wall as a background
- The room must be well lightened so that the picture is not blurred
- The photograph clicked must be of good quality
- Check the power plugs before commencing the examination
- Internet connection should be good and must be available on the laptop/mobile
- Candidates must ensure that the webcam/mic is working properly
- After setting up the audio, candidates are not required to plug in the earphones, test takers can put on them on the keyboard or on the table
- Test takers will be in constant observation via intelligence tool and live monitoring by the proctors.
- Candidates can have the blank sheets for rough work
- Immediate termination will be done in case of any unfair means or suspected activity.
- Candidates must have their own water bottle on the table before the exam commences.
Don’ts
- Candidates must not share the passkey with anyone else.
- Exam will be automatically terminated if navigated from the main screen
- Candidates will not be allowed to talk to anyone while appearing for the exam
- Test takers will not be permitted to use any other device or electronic gadgets while appearing for the exam. If found, then the exam will be cancelled.
- Candidates must not move away from the screen.
- Test takers must not try to cover the camera or unplug the external camera
- Logging from multiple devices will lead to cancellation.
- Candidates will only be permitted to use the keyboard while attempting the test. Cursor or use of muse to answer the questions is prohibited.
- Candidates must not leave for any purpose the room during the examination
