IIM-T's new course for working executives

It's good news for working executives yearning to acquire formal management education. IIM-Tiruchirappalli (IIM-T) will be launching a Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) of three years for working professionals. The program will be inducted at IIM-T from August, 2012.

This flagship program of this institute has been structured for working executives who seek to acquire formal management education. Having a three years' work experience is all that is needed to be eligible for the program. However, self-employed individuals too will be considered for the program.

As far as the syllabus is concerned, it comprises of 18 core courses, 15 electives and an industrial project. With a course fee of Rs.10 lakh payable in nine installments, the last date to apply is July 23 and the classes will start from August 29. (Read more)

Recently, IIM-Shillong became the first IIM to join hands with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to offer a first two-year full-time post-graduate programme in financial markets (PGP-FM). The program will enable students to simulate market conditions and develop trading, investment and portfolio management skills through simulated market software, designed by NSE. Subsequently, NSE and IIM Shillong will also impart numerous advanced level certifications and Management Development Programmes in financial markets. (Read more)
