How to Tackle the Micro Presentation?
By adopting the following tips and techniques, one can ace the Micro Presentation:
- Christ University releases the topics of the micro presentation well in advance. Prepare a few topics from the list by standing in front of the mirror or by recording a video. Mirror practice or recording a video can make you tackle the micro presentation easily.
- You should know that in micro presentations, focusing on what to think and then speak is crucial. You must know how to deal with the thinking time where you structure your thoughts. The first 3-4 seconds of your thinking time should be given to comprehend the topic. Focus on understanding the topic rather than just knowing the topic. Now, jot down your thoughts into keywords and then visualize your answer.
- If you are not comfortable with the topic or do not know what to speak on the topic, you can always request the interviewer to change the topic for your MP.
- You can talk about facts and figures (if you are sure about them) or move on to the argument side of the topic. Some topics can also be debatable and you can always present your side of thought and why did you not take the other side. This will give the interviewer the impression that your thoughts are balanced and you are not just shooting arrows.
- You should be well aware of the current affairs, recent happenings, as you can be given any random to topic for your extempore.
