Q:   Is ABBS Bangalore good for B.Com?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Here's a summary of what current students and alumni have said about their experience studying B.Com at ABBS Bangalore:

    * Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure, with spacious classrooms, Wi-Fi availability (only for laptop users), and a comfortable canteen. However, the hostel food is average, and the food prices are high.
    * Teaching: The faculty is generally helpful and knowledgeable, although some may not teach effectively. The course curriculum is relevant, but outdated and lacks practical exposure.
    * Placement: While the college claims 100% placement, many students feel that the numbers are inflated. Around 40-60% of students get placed in popular companies like 99 Acres, Amazon, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, KPMG, and FedEx Express. The highest salary package offered is around INR6 LPA.
    * Internship: Unfortunately, the college doesn't provide many internship opportunities, leaving students to rely on external sources. Some students reported getting internships at companies like Unschool, Byju's, and Art of Living.
    * Campus Life: The campus hosts occasional events, festivals, and guest lectures, but overall, campus life is limited.
    * Career Support: The placement department focuses on supporting MBA and BBA students, leaving B.Com students without adequate guidance.

Overall, while ABBS Bangalore seems to offer some positives, such as a decent infrastructure and relatively good teaching staff, the lack of effective career support and limited internship opportunities might leave B.Com students feeling somewhat disappointed. It's essential to weigh these pros and cons carefully when considering enrollment.

Hostel is neat and tidy with clean bathrooms and also Wi-Fi facilities. Quality of food is quite great in hostel and a variety of food is served in hostel. Canteen food is tasty and affordable.

I am dissatisfied because of the fee department.
Placements: About 80% of the students got placed from our course. The highest salary offered here is 1 lac per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Currently, internship offers are not providing, and still, none of the students got selected for internships. But our college claims that it offers 100% internships, but in the end, it is completely fake. Only a few students are offered internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average here, and the quality of the food served is not much good here. The price of the food is also high, and sports are not played here. There are no proper arrangements for games. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: The teachers here are well knowledgeable, and they take you to industries, which is the best part. I like how the teachers interact with us, and the teaching quality is good. But the HODs put pressure on teachers, and then they put pressure on us.
Other: Events and fest organised here are awesome, but they don't play Kannada songs more during fests and events.

Do not choose this college if you are actually serious about your career.
Placements: This course does not have adequate placement support, and there are little to no job opportunities available for this course and industry. We are ultimately forced to take up non-core jobs to build a career. There is a dedicated placement department in the college, which mostly caters to MBA and BBA departments.
Infrastructure: The only plus point of this college is its infrastructure with respect to its classrooms. There are certain business labs, but we have never set foot in one of those. Classrooms are sufficiently big and the benches are comfortable. There is Wi-Fi on the campus, but only for teachers and students with laptops. The canteen is subpar and hygienic, but the prices on the menu are exorbitant.
Faculty: The curriculum does justice to the course, but it is more or less relevant to the industry and does make the students ready to take on a career in this industry. The semester exams are comparatively easy; even if you study on the day of the exam, you would pass. The faculty members in my course are average. Although they are knowledgeable, their teaching styles are not that good, and some of them can't even speak proper English.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in Logistics and Product Supply Chain. There is hardly any campus life outside of academics, and the college does not initiate many events during the year. The crowd is also an average one.

I am not satisfied with this college. I will not recommend to joining them.
Placements: Around 30-60% of students are placed in our course. The average salary package is 4-5 LPA. The highest salary package is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 2 LPA. The highest-paid are either in MBA courses or in pre-sales. The students get recruited in companies like Infocom, Oyster Connect, Byjus, Unschool, WhiteHat Jr, Art of Living, Talent Space, etc. These companies also provide internships to the students, and their top roles are sales, business development, and marketing.
Infrastructure: In this college, it provides libraries, a canteen, and a basketball ground and badminton court students. It also has Wi-Fi and laptops. It also provides indoor and outdoor sports but students do not play. Most of the students bring their equipment to play, and only 15-20 students play from the whole college. The food served at the college canteen is average, but sometimes it is good. Hostel food is below average, and most of the students don't even go to their college mess after the first semester and pay outside for food. All the facilities are available in this college.
Faculty: In this college, only a few teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in every course. Teachers do not care if the student has grabbed a concept of the syllabus, but they remember about notes and check them a day before the exam. The favorite students of teachers get good marks in the exam. The course curriculum is relatable to the BU syllabus but outdated and pointless. Some teachers only care about if you've worn a college tie, pant shirt, and shoes, The college also says they provide skill-based training. but all were only words at the end. They do take students to 1-2 industrial visits, but that is either not relevant to our course or hardly relatable. It does not make students ready for industry.
Other: The college is located outside the city. The area has nothing that a student would be interested. There is no facility like cafe, mall and street food. They also conduct ethnic days which is not good. The transportation mode is also not good. The college is strict.

The infrastructure is average. Faculty members don't train students well for the future.
Placements: About 10% of the students got placed from our course. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA. Unschool and Byju's are top recruiters here. Sales and marketing are the top roles offered here. Pre-sales roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available only for laptops. There are science labs, classrooms, stationery, library, AV room, business lab, computer lab, indoor games, canteen and auditorium. The food served in the canteen is always not good. There are no many medical facilities. Sports and games are provided for namesake, and they are not maintained well.
Faculty: Out of 10 teachers, only 1 teacher will be helpful who will guide students regarding their career and other matters. Other teachers just attend the class to complete the syllabus, which isn't taught well. The course curriculum is relevant, but the university needs to update the syllabus as most of the things have been taught in 12th grade. It is not possible to be industry-ready by just training students.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in accounting. Many things could be good about this course if the teaching was proper, mainly the syllabus. Events organised here aren't much engaging now.
