B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2027

Take admission on your own risk.
Placements: Only a few students get placed, and the starting salary is just 18k. Placements are not guaranteed by the college; we have to work on our own to get a good job as a nurse. The college does provide an internship after the completion of the course, which is after 3.5 years.
Infrastructure: There are literally no proper facilities. There is no proper building, and the classrooms are also old. Many times there is no drinking water and no water in the washrooms. There is also no soap in the washrooms, and the hostel is some sort of PG turned into a college hostel.

Other: Events are organised but that too on our money.

Satisfied with the faculty, but there have been no placements till now.
Placements: We don't have placements as far now, we haven't come across the placements or got information about it. There are no top recruiting companies that have come. Our batch all students got an internship in different hospitals respectively. The roles are like the nurse, ICU nurse, OT, and others.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi, but classrooms are not fixed for the respected classes. Labs are with good facilities and make interesting. Sports and games are not conducted on this campus but conducted on the main campus. The food is good and there is maintainance of hygiene.
Faculty: There are qualified teachers and they help in every possible way they can and give information regarding any doubts. There are annual exams that come yearly once. The exam feels difficult but we have three sessional exams conducted in the college which makes us prepare for exams.
Other: I chose this course by choice and it was completely my parent's decision. Events are conducted, but the fest is not there. There is no scholarship given by the college. Some extra-curricular activities are held by main management at the main campus where we don't get a chance to participate.

It's overall good Teacher's are good well knowledge and experience. They are friendly to everyone
Placements: They only send you for internship not for placement. But they send in good hospital like Victoria hospital, Indiraganghi hospital and in some private hospital also. There we learn every procedure in Victoriya hospital. All staff know Acharya college of nursing very well. They give work todo like talk with patients, medicate the patients.
Infrastructure: Campus is not so big. There is only one building with seminar hall, library, lab but no ground is there.
Faculty: It's overall good. Teachers are good, well knowledge and experienced. They are friendly to everyone.
Other: Everything is average.

Dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: There are many good hospitals we can work in after studying this course. After completing this course there are many roles in the hospital. It all depends on the person's desire.
Infrastructure: The location of the college is not good. There is no canteen, no sports or games. Hostels are very expensive. I do not know the quality of food in the mess as I don't stay in the college hostel as it was expensive as I had mentioned earlier. The infrastructure is compromised.
Faculty: Beginning the facilities were the best. But after lockdown, everything changed. The exams were okay. The course makes students industry-ready. The teaching faculty was good initially, later it changed drastically after the COVID lockdown. Faculty members left the college and new faculty members came, who were not as good as the previous.
Other: I chose Nursing as I didn't get admission to medical college. Still nursing as a health science is interesting. There are no campus vibes and no scholarships. The surroundings are not that great.

A college with good placement opportunities for graduates
Placements: Our college helps with placements in hospitals like Manipal, Apollo's, HCG cancer hospital, Fortis, and Columbia Asia. It makes a smooth transition for the graduated students to start a new life. The highest package offered in nursing courses is Rs.100000 per month, the lowest at Rs.40,000 per month, but it depends on individual experience and knowledge.
Infrastructure: Various infrastructure is provided by the management committee of college like hostel if one is interested to stay in the hostel, canteen facility, library, computer facilities, etc., If one is interested to stay outside the hostel or home they can stay with their preferences.
Faculty: All the teachers are qualified and are having master's degrees in nursing and Ph.D. which make the learning easier and smoother. Teachers are quite helpful during academics. They provide question banks and refer to good books. A semester exam is quite easy to pass if one is studying and focusing on what teachers are imparting to an individual.
Other: As nursing is a noble career and it has good opportunities to serve humanity and mankind.

Best faculty that I came across, but the amenities must be improved.
Placements: Almost 90% and the remaining could have dropped the course. As far as I'm concerned, completing B.Sc. the course itself has got an opportunity for numerous placements such as Apollo, Manipal, Fortis, etc., Depending on the type of work in terms of salary with a minimum of Rs.12,000 per month.
Infrastructure: I haven't been to the hostel so have not much idea about it. Wi-Fi isn't accessible for students, and Sports day is conducted annually on the ABBS campus. The lab is present for laboratory experiments and is good enough. OPD is present within the college however for medical purposes.
Faculty: The faculty that I encountered has been the kind of lecturer I would ever ask for. The course is a noble one, it sure does make students industry-ready enough. The difficulty faced in my time is that we had to appear for the yearly examination than the semester which was vast but now, the semester system has been initiated.
Other: Selecting this course is my choice and not circumstances. The sense of compassion and professionalism. I just wish for the dignity of the profession. Not much idea of events, but the campus crowd is intense with minimal campus area. The scholarship is long given to my knowledge. Extracurricular activities are done and improving. Amenities need to be improved.
