Q:   Is the NEET exam mandatory for MBBS admission at AIIMS Jodhpur?

    A:

NEET serves as the gateway for admission to medical colleges, including AIIMS institutions. Without undergoing the NEET examination, securing admission to AIIMS colleges is not possible. Following the entrance examination, a counseling process is conducted, during which seats are allocated based on factors such as your rank, marks, and category. The allocation process is not uniform for all students due to reserved seats for different castes. This ensures that students from minority castes have opportunities to gain admission to medical colleges. If you meet the eligibility criteria for taking the NEET examination, it is imperative to dedicate yourself to rigorous study in order to increase your chances of securing admission to AIIMS colleges. Given the high aspirations of students to enroll in AIIMS institutions, NEET remains a crucial requirement for admission to AIIMS Jodhpur.

I just want to say that this college is just awesome.
Placements: It is not like IIT college and others. In our college, college itself is responsible for internships. All students do their internship before leaving college and in internship we also get paid like 33,000 right now and stipend is increasing year per year
Infrastructure: The central library is present, where every known book in MBBS is available and the digital library is also present. Classroom's infrastructure is just awesome and labs are also good and on the whole campus, high-speed Wi-Fi is available. In hostels, Wi-Fi is also available. Sports and games facilities are very good. Every known game court is present here; even an Olympic-size pool is also available. The hostel is provided with double rooms having all the facilities.
Faculty: Professors are all doctors and full of knowledge and every student is provided with a mentor professor who personally cares for them. 9 semesters and 3 professional examinations occur in the whole MBBS. Semester exams are easy professional exams are quite tough but not as tough as NEET exam.
Other: Course fees: 5356/- Mess fees: 56225/- Aura and Tejas are the festivals that happen in AIIMS Jodhpur. And scholarships are also provided to the ST and SC students, which includes college and laptop expenses.

    Review of AIIMS Jodhpur.
Placements: This college provides a year of compulsory internships in different areas of the hospital. For this internship, they provide a stipend. Good ranks in PG exams provide best practice in the best department of the college. More than half of students get placed in a good multinational hospital.
Infrastructure: The college has splendid infrastructure and facilities. They provide Wi-Fi, e-classrooms, a central library, and labs with modern instruments. The college also provides double-seated rooms for UG students and a single-seater room for PG students. There is a sports complex and an activity hall for extracurricular activities. Mess and canteens are also available.
Faculty: teachers and professors here are very helpful and well qualified. With a MD or MS that is super specialized in their particular field. It is 4.5-year-long programme. So there are 9 semester exams, one every 6 months, and three professional exams. Passing marks are 50% of total .
Other: Aura, the best Medfest in India, happens every March and includes various star nights and cultural activities. There is also a sports fest named Tejas. Students enjoy them very much during these fests.

    Reviews by Dr. Vikas Saini.
Placements: Almost all students are placed in medical. After MBBS, they practice as MOs or do further study like MDAT. All packages can go up to 1-2 lakh. Top roles offered are in many departments like radiology, neurology, dermatology, ophthalmology, etc. All students achieve a one-year internship from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. Labs are modernized. Instruments in labs are in good condition; their prices are in lakhs or crores. Classrooms also have projectors and all subject specimens like skeletons. Seats are in good condition. Hostel rooms are two-seater. A table, chair, bed, and wardrobe are also provided, and the mess menu is well-oriented.
Faculty: The teachers are postgraduates and specialists. Teaching quality is excellent. Seven-hour classes regularly happen. There are two semesters in the first year. After these professional exams, the passing percentage is 50%. Below 50%, supplementary exams must be taken.
Other: The importance of a doctor in society and my father's willingness for this degree are emphasized. Students should take studying seriously during the degree and not just for passing. There are many events and fests in my college. Aura and Tejas are the main fests organized by seniors. The campus is excellent and has sports facilities.

Overall very good college in all aspects.
Placements: I am currently working as an intern in my college AIIMS JODHPUR after completing my MBBS. Around 80-90% students got in internship after clearing final exams in 1st attempt only. Selection ratio in PG of interns is increasing year by year in our college. There is good rank coming in INI CET year by year. Last year in november INI CET there came a single digit rank of my senior batch who was intern at that time. There are at least 20% students who got PG seat in internship only. My seniors joined various PG seats in our college only like radiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, obgy. Top seat is taken as radiology and the lowest is biochemistry from our college. During internship we also got stipend of rupees 30070/-.
Infrastructure: There are various facilities available like lecture theatre, Wi-Fi, for practice we have different labs loke pathology, biochemistry, microbiology lab. In anatomy we have dissection hall. We have centralized AC library with Wi-Fi. We have e library also. The quality of hostel is good. There are single rooms connected by a passage of door. There is regular cleaning in hostels done. There is mess which provides good food and also canteen which provide food at reasonable range. There is new nescafe also opened now. The sports facilities are very good we have sports complex. Badminton court, basketball court, tennis court, we also have opened swimming pool, gym from last 2 years available at reasonable range for students. There is hospital attached to college building which is only 1 km from hostel there we have emergency which provide 24x7 services. We also have fest like aura and tejas. Aura is intercollega FEAT where other clgs also come and where star nights occur. In coming march we have aura for 4 days.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, qualified here. They teach very good as compared to other colleges and also help us if we have any doubts. Course curriculum is the latest as per nmc guidelines. We have good paper level in semester exam which helps us in preparation for PG also. Passing percentage is approximately 80-85% in semester exams.

The name of AIIMS is enough.
Placements: Internship starts after 4.5 years of studying. In your internship, you get 23,000 per month (that is about 2.76 Lacs for the whole year). After you are enrolled into a PG course, the stipend is about 80,000 per month. As of the placements, there is no such thing in a medical college. But AIIMS degree has a lot of value all over India.
Infrastructure: Books and journals are always available for reading and can be issued by the students whenever required. All classrooms are completely Air conditioned, with smart classes and are in a theatre structure, so all the students get to SEE the faculty. Hostel rooms are well-equipped with beds, study tables and a wooden almirah. Food consists of chapati, dal rice and vegetable for dinner and lunch. For snacks and breakfast, they have options for milk, tea coffee and seasonal meals. All students get a hostel room.
Faculty: Majority of the faculty members are very good and skilled in their work. They had to clear an interview by the doctors of ministry and health welfare before coming in AIIMS Jodhpur. Most of the teachers are student friendly and have different and innovative way of teaching. Our institute has its own curriculum and strategy for teaching. For research purposes we were told about many research programs like STS by ICMR, and our college also has an internal research programme for students who are interested in research. Our teachers are very much supportive for research.

Excellent internship opportunities and well-qualified professors.
Placements: All my batchmates completed their internship in our home college AIIMS Jodhpur itself. A handful of students were selected in one of the top institutes of the country including AIIMS Delhi, PGI Chandigarh, and so on. Many students applied for international residencies and cleared USMLE step 1 and 2.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at AIIMS Jodhpur was excellent. From fully equipped laboratories including microbiology, pathology to all high technology devices including a fully operational international radiology setup, the institute had cutting edge infrastructure. Hostels were really well built and maintained. Mess infrastructure was good, but food was average.
Faculty: The faculty in the college is well qualified, helpful, and really approachable. There are altogether 9 semesters divided into 3 professional exam years. The examination pattern is pretty clinical and focuses on applied part. The exams are on the tougher side, and pass percentage is 50, yet the passing rate is good owing to good academics.
