AISSMS CHMCT Celebrates Its 25th Year in the Education Field

September 18, 2022: AISSMS CHMCT marks 25 years in the realm of education this year. The institution has planned a lot of activities to celebrate these years and to make learning more fun and applicable for students studying hotel management.

On September 19 and 20, 2022, the college's Innovation and Start-up cell organised a two-day event called "Skillet- Restaurateurs in creating" to encourage entrepreneurship.

Chef Sarvesh Jadhav, a college alumnus who owns Cafehouse Reeka in Pune, came up with the original idea for this event, and Chef Ambar Rode, owner of Le Petit Amour in Pune, supported his idea.

The goal of "Skillet," a competition to operate two food and beverage establishments in Pune, "Cafehouse Reeka" and "Le Petit Amour," was to bring in Rs. 1,00,000 for both days. These food and beverage establishments were run independently by a team of ten students. Both teams met the predetermined goal.

The teams came up with five new food and drink options that were added to the standard menu and were well received by the patrons. Atul Desai, Managing Director Ameya Fluid Control Systems Pvt., paid the le petit amour a visit. Rajeshree Bhujbal, Director of Masters FMS Pvt Ltd., Pune, and Cafehouse Reeka were thrilled by the students' professionalism.

Vipul Shelke, a final year BHMCT student, led the team at Le Petit Amour, while Komal Parmar, a final year BSc Hons student, led the team at Cafehouse Reeka. On September 1st, both teams began their training to become familiar with daily operations.

According to Dr Sonali Jadhav, the college's principal, this job gave the students first-hand experience with managing a restaurant, including all of its difficulties. The children' learning was excellent.

The students will cherish the experience they had for the rest of their lives.

AISSMS-CHMCT Celebrates The World Bread Day

October 22, 2021: Every year on October 16, the world commemorates ‘World Bread Day’. The day is observed to raise awareness about food availability around the world. The ‘College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology’ at AISSMS is involved in a number of innovative projects. This year, the college observed World Bread Day by baking 20 different types of internationally popular bread over the course of a week.

The college's 'Udaan' department, which focuses on entrepreneurial development, commemorated ‘World Bread Day’. Between the 16th and the 20th of October, the event took place. Every day, four types of bread were baked by college students and sold through the social media platform 'Pune Eat Outs.' Bread orders were taken on the PunEOrders website, and arrangements were made to deliver orders from nine different locations. Potato Buns and Cookies were supplied to numerous NGOs, including Nirankar Balgram, Matruchhaya Balakashram, and Dnyandeep Balagruha, as part of this campaign.

"We have many possibilities for international food, but most of them are either unrecognisable or very expensive," said Dr Sonali Jadhav, the college's principal, of this endeavor. We established this project to introduce various international bread at accessible costs, taking responsibility as a college that is doing outstanding work in this field. The project was enthusiastically received by the inhabitants of Pune." "Learning from real-world experiences is a significant asset in professional life," AISSMS Honorary Secretary Maloji Raje Chhatrapati said of this novel effort.”

It provides good faculty members.

Placements: Every student gets good placements. The student who is weak in their studies is focused more. Every student score excellent marks. From the 4th year, the students are eligible for the campus placements, a lot of placements have been done from our colleges. Around 95% of students have placed from last year. After my degree, my plan is to do MBA at a top university in India because as I am interested in business I want to crack the MBA exam.

I would give the college a 2.5/5. Please research and go to better colleges.

Placements: AISSMS is known to have amazing contacts and placements throughout the world that is one of the main reasons I joined the college. However, I had to be a part of the management quota therefore, I had to pay 300000 the first year. The college does send its students off to quite a few very well respected and renowned hotels and restaurants in India.

A college with average infrastructure but very good teaching staff and the principal is very good.

Placements: The placements here are good via campus interviews and selections. Students can join their dream hotels via college placements. Even the students with average passing marks get placed in any of the 3 or 4 michelin star restaurants. The college is cooperative.
