Q:   Is B.A. LL.B. (Hons) at Allahabad University Law Faculty a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

    * Pros: Good faculty, helpful and knowledgeable; great location near the Allahabad High Court; excellent infrastructure; regular workshops and seminars; good library resources; comfortable hostel accommodations.
    * Cons: No placement cell or internship opportunities; limited campus life; no canteen on the faculty premises.
    * Placement: Although there is no official placement cell, students have reported securing internships and jobs through personal networks and efforts.
    * Course structure: Comprehensive and relevant to judiciary and public service examinations; syllabus is updated regularly.
    * Faculty feedback: Most faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable, providing individual attention to students.
    * Alumni network: Strong connection between alumni and current students for internships and job opportunities.
    * Campus life: Limited campus life due to lack of events and festivals; however, students organize their own events and activities.
    * Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, including air-conditioned classrooms and Wi-Fi-enabled areas; hostels are decent, with basic amenities.

In conclusion, while the programme lacks certain amenities and services compared to other institutions, the faculty, course structure, and alumni network make it a good choice for students interested in pursuing careers in the judiciary or public service. However, students should be prepared to take initiative in seeking out internships and job opportunities outside of the institution.

Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students at Allahabad University Law Faculty?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Placement Cell Success Rate for B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Students

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's what can be concluded:

    * Lack of Placement Cell: The Allahabad University Law Faculty does not have a dedicated placement cell, unlike other law schools.
    * Students' Responsibilities: According to several reviews, students need to take initiative to secure their own placements, whether it's through internships, networking, or self-study.
    * Limited Job Opportunities: The faculty focuses more on preparing students for judiciary and litigation, and therefore, job opportunities in the corporate sector might be limited.
    * Average Salary Packages: While some companies do visit the campus, the highest salary package offered is around INR9 LPA, and the average salary is around INR4 LPA.

In summary, the placement cell at Allahabad University Law Faculty is non-existent, and students need to rely on their own efforts to secure job opportunities. The faculty's primary focus is on judiciary and litigation, making corporate job prospects relatively scarce.

Faculty of law, University of Allahabad.
Placements: The placement cell of this college is average, not much high. You can get an average placement of 4-5 lakhs. Approximately half of the students are placed. And you can also get internship opportunities from this college at High court of Allahabad and also at District courts.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is so good. The whole campus is connected with wifi , you can use internet at any where and can complete your work. Also the faculty has a big library in which you can get any law book which you want to study. The college also provides hostel facilities which includes mess and canteen and also ground for playing sports.
Faculty: The faculties of this college are very well qualified, helpful and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is so good. The duration of BA LLB course is of 5 years. The examination is conducted twice in a semester firstly the mid term and then the end semester. The semester exams are not that tough you can pass it easily.
Other: I have chosen this college because I want to do my bachelor's from a recognized central university. The college annually conducts a fest in the hostel campus.

Absolutely satisfied because of good environment and faculty.
Placements: 100% placements are offered. The highest package is INR 20 lacs. The lowest is INR 10 lacs. The average package is INR 6 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Jio, and other industries. 60 to 70% of students got internships at Jio, Reliance, and other top companies like Aditya Birla and Tata Industries. The top roles offered are legal advisor and claims head.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi enabled with a good network. We have moot courts. There are 10 classrooms. There is one library. There are no hostels available for law students in my area but there are Shatabdi hostels related to the University of Allahabad. The quality of food is average, medical facilities are good, and sports and other events are held from time to time.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Yes, the teachers are qualified. Strict rules follow during the semester exams and the pass percentage is above 90%. In my college, the minimum pass rate is 40 percent in each subject; there are six subjects in each semester.

Review of Law Faculty, University of Allahabad .
Placements: This is one of the major drawbacks of the Allahabad University Faculty of Law: it has no placement cell. The university is focused on the judiciary and litigation and the corporate sector is not encouraged here. As there is no concept of placement, we do not have an internship cell as well. You have to find your own through connections.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay, but there is no campus life here. We do not have a canteen on the faculty premises. There is a library, which is good. We also get access to online databases, such as Manupatra. Classrooms are well ventilated and air-conditioned. The hostel premises are quite good. They maintain cleanliness and hygiene conditions.
Faculty: Okay, this is something great about the faculty. The faculty is good, mostly. They are all Ph.D. holders with a good number of years of experience. Also, the faculty is very helpful and they even guide you personally if you approach them. They provide study materials, which are very helpful during exams.
Other: So as there is no campus life, we do not have any events organized as well. The students organize an annual event by themselves. Law as a department is very renowned at Allahabad University because of its success rate in the judiciary and other civil service examinations. Also, the location of the campus, which is around 10 km from Allahabad High Court, makes it very helpful. We have workshops and orientations where they invite judges and successful lawyers from Allahabad High Court with whom you can connect and build connections .

    It offers many opportunities.
Placements: Allahabad university doesn't have any placement cell, but students with good intellect getting placement in various law firms. Students should work hard to get placement, but almost 50% of UP-PCSJ aspirants selected for Allahabad university faculty of law.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this university is not too good in comparison to NLUs, but yes all types of facilities like library, computer lab, Wi-Fi available here. Quality of food is average. All types of facilities like medicine, sport and games are available here. And the best thing of this university is it organize quiz competition, essay writing, debate competition regularly organize by law faculty of AU.
Faculty: There is no compromise in faculty members, they are well educated, and they have immense intellect. Curriculum or syllabus of this Law faculty defined by 'Bar Council Of India' and other colleges follow this Syllabus. Semester is not too tough, teachers covers everything relevant to exam.
Other: I chose this university because it has very huge alumni base, and it gives me opportunity to meet judge and advocate every day .

Allahabad University Law Faculty has a good reputation in PCS J exams.
Placements: There are no good placements, but if students want to join law firms or corporate companies, then they can get it on their own. The highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. In our college, students are more into the preparation of exams like the judiciary and civil services.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure with good quality of rooms. Students of the first year have to spend their first year in an old building. In the second year, students are transferred to a new building. Hostel facilities are also good and equipped with Wi-Fi, telephone, television and many other things like indoor and outdoor games, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and generous, and their teaching quality is perfect. If you are more interested in the judiciary, then it's a perfect place. Teachers are also focused on judiciary exams like PCS-J exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because the law has an emerging and bright career. It is an integrated course which also saves 1 year, and it is a very good course who want to prepare for civil services and judiciary exams.

Believe in your heart and get up here, it would be the best part of your educational way.
Placements: Allahabad university is a great university if you deem to pursue your law career from here but if you're talking about placements, packages and all then sorry to open it you, you're going to be completely disappoint as it is a central university it should provide those hi-fi placements like nlu and all but it's completely opposite over here for that I'll suggest you to clear CLAT or get enrolled in big private colleges and pay monstrous amount of feels but if you're interested in getting into litigation and judicial services then trust me this is the best college you'll ever find case it provides all that opportunity, chances and study equipments that will help you climb the ladder of your litigational or judicial dream.
Infrastructure: If you got main campus and other constituent colleges and want hostel then you'll get alloted to hostel according to your entrance marks, the facilities and food there are okayish and you'll heavy miss your homemade foods but I guess you'll have learn on how to control your taste buds and yes the food quality is not that bad once you get habitual you'll really find it good, it provides huge options for sports and games, ncc and other extracurricular activities, many events, debates and competitions that will greatly influence your personality development.
Faculty: The teachers here are absolute genius in their respective fields, they qualify net jrf exam, many have completed their Ph.D. and it's ongoing for some, they'll teach you everything about the topic and are very gentle and affectionate towards their students, if you listen to them and follow their road map trust me their is no need of coaching or other extra materials. Now about semesters and duration, B.A. LL.B. is a 5 year integrated course on law in which you study both the syllabus of B.A. and LL.B. so yes it is a quite lengthy course and requires a lot of study and dedication bit it's all worth it, there are total 10 semesters ,2 seems per year mostly 1st semester exams are conclude in mid Feb and 2nd semester in the last August.
Other: I choose AU as my preference because I have known the worth of doing law from this university since my childhood as my father and grandfather both have done their LL.B. from this university and are very successful in their fields, high court is nearby and you can easily complete your interinternship from here, the environment is very friendly and warm and once you have spend here few months in the surrounding you'll never want to leave this city, plus scholarships are provided to those who belong from minority section and to those who are financially weak.
