I am not satisfied. I could have gone to a better college.
Placements: The number of students in the class was not that high compared to other courses like BA and B.Com. There is no placement program, so I suggest not to expect any placement or internship from college. There is no opportunity or guidelines provided by the college. Students should depend on their own in terms of jobs or internships. Even if you get a job by yourself, you can get a salary of Rs. 10,000 to 12,000 per month or even lower. The textile and fashion industry often priorities graduate from top colleges rather than us.
Infrastructure: I don't think there is any hostel facility. There is a separate Libra sitting area for girls. Separate park for girls, good and clean washrooms for girls are available. There is a small canteen, and the sports program conducted is also good. Medical facilities are available. We have the best classrooms in the entire college, but they are not enough. There are only 3 to 4 classrooms between fashion textile and interior designing students. Faculty members are also not the best, which matters the most. There was a big enough computer lab, but they didn't teach us the software thoroughly as we were supposed to learn.
Faculty: I don't think our course teachers were qualified enough. Other courses have better teachers and staff members than designing courses. They don't make you industry-ready. It is pretty hard to get a job after this course in the textile industry. Exams were easy, and you could pass quite easily. There were two types of exams in our course, i.e., practical and theory. You have to get passing marks in both exams to pass exams. There is also an exam of NSDC named Koushal Vikas Yojna. It happens only one day in each semester, and it is also very easy to pass.
Other: I have chosen this course because I thought it would be a great start for my career in the textile industry, and I don't have to leave my hometown. A lot of things can be improved. Many events and extracurricular activities are conducted in our college. The only thing I didn't like about this college is they always divide boys and girls much. They won't let you walk in corridors. Common areas like the canteen and park are also separate for girls and boys.
