    Commonly asked questions
    On Seats

Q:   How many total seats are available for the AAFT BA programme in 2024?

    A:

AAFT offers a total of 360 seats in all specialisations for academic year 2024. These are divided equally among each specialisation to ensure that no disparity in the courses being offered exists. Thus, with this seat intake, admission is naturally a competitive yet accessible field for interested students, looking forward to continuing their education at the Asian Academy of Film and Television.

Q:   How is the seat intake distributed among different specialisations in the AAFT BA programme?

    A:

Seat intake in the AAFT BA course is divided proportionally, as equal numbers of seats are allocated to each specialisation. Dividing the same number among the specialisations has allocated a total of 360 seats, with each specialisation receiving 60 seats. This balance helps to accommodate a number of courses for the benefit of the students and keeps limited seats in every program to create healthy competition for entrants. The seats are allotted based on the scores obtained in the aptitude test and performance in the personal interview.

Great curriculum and good event management .
Placements: I am a first-year student of this course. But I liked the curriculum very much. The faculty members are really good and very friendly with the students and always ready to solve the doubts and help. The jobs offered lie in a mediocre range from 4 LPA to 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, and all the facilities are provided by the college. All the classrooms are air conditioned, and we'll maintain them. Hostels are below average, and the food is not good at all. Cleaning is also not done regularly in hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and highly qualified. Teaching quality is very good, and teachers are very cooperative and helpful with their students. The course curriculum is great, and students are made industry-ready. Semester exams are mediocre for every student to pass.
Other: Event management is a growing field, and AAFT offers a great degree course in the same, unlike diplomas in other colleges. Events are also good here.

    Best college for special courses.
Placements: It's good, above 60%. Honestly, the top can go up to 12 LPA, and the top roles that have been offered to my batch are senior photography at a big firm. Not gonna lie, but in a market like this where the competition is too much, they give the best campus placements.
Infrastructure: Don't know about the hostel, but the college's infrastructure is better than good, but too small for a college. New classes, library, and canteen are too good. They can add more things like indoor sports like TT, pool, chess, etc. 'Cause I know people are doing what they love but can use sports to relax.
Faculty: Faculty is better than good; some are the best. Exams are not too hard, but again, these are practical courses, so assignments matter more than exams. They are very precise about their assignments, but the discipline can improve. There is something that might need some attention, like I got my ID card in the second semester.
Other: Crowd is okay, what I like is the friendly environment on campus.

You will do good, if you are dedicated.
Placements: If I have to give a ballpark of the placement numbers, I will say they are below average in some courses at the college. Though the placement cell is effective in grooming and training the students to be well mannered and prepared for the interview, the quality of placement is still low, and there are not a lot of companies that come to interview the students, but I am rating the placement average due to the collective efforts of the placement cell and faculty to get every student placed, even at a very high package.
Infrastructure: In the duration of 6 semesters, the photography studio was changed 4 times and every time some or the other issue was at hand, that was a drawback in efficiency. Hostels are not as good as I have heard, and I never dared to visit that facility. The college is a very small campus, but the faculty is good and is teaching the students very well with the limited resources that they have. In the span of 3 years that I have spent at AAFT, the facilities of my course have been improved except for a few issues. Everything will be fixed in the coming years, I feel.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is great, and the behavior of teachers towards the students who are willing to learn is actually great. Of course, there are nuances in every class and the perspective of students, but yes, it is worth it. You will learn a lot if you are willing enough; the course is relevant; most teachers will teach you beyond the given curriculum; and some teachers have made me industry-ready. The exams are easy enough and the pass percentage is standard.

One of the best college for Journalism and Mass Communication in the country.
Placements: All the students who are really interested in this field get 100% placement assistance. We have proper Placement cell which managers the placements. I am right now studying in my 3rd year and doing internship with ABP Network and college helped me a lot for the same.
Infrastructure: Facilities are of top notch level. Be it fully air conditioned college or labs. Infrastructure is very good. You get a lot of equipment to use and to learn. There is no other college which gives u expensive cameras and accessories in your first year. But AAFT is one of them.
Faculty: Faculty members are very learned and very supportive. The teachers here are very understanding, they help you in each and everything possible. They guide us in all the possible ways and support is in everything possible. We feel connected with teachers which help us to learn better.
Other: The best thing is that this college provides a lot of practical exposure which is needed for thie course.

A very average college for art and media .
Placements: Only 10-20% students got placements but even they are not satisfied. The lowest package offered in this course was15000/month and the highest was 50000/month but no one got selected in those interviews. Big boy toyz is the best company visiting our college but the interviews were not conduct for that, I don't know why.
Infrastructure: The old building is really very old, the classes are not maintained properly, there are no medical facilities and the canteen is always crowded. There is only APL conducted in a year which is a sports league tournament. Labs have computers which are not working properly and there is always some problem or the other.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful while the others just maintain their profiles. Some of the teachers have brilliant knowledge but the senior teachers don’t push them forward. The management is the worst in this college. There is not a single notice of the students which is received on time.
Other: There are no extracurricular activities and no campus trips are organized.
