Overall, it is not a good place to study. There are no good placements, nor the course curriculum.

Placements: Placements in our college are very poor. Hardly 2-3 companies visited for placements, and that too with poor profiles. Very low-scale companies visited for placements. The highest salary package offered to the students in on-campus placements was around 2.4 LPA, and the lowest salary package was 1.2 LPA.

Reality of famous old college with no placements and qualified facilities.

Placements: Almost 60 percent placement in IT and CS. AROUND 5 to 10 percent placement in mechanical. No core company visits only it companies visit. Only Adani a core mechanical company visited. They offered 4.5 LPA the highest in batch. There is no internship and placement cell is also ineffective to attract companies. Overall almost no placements for core branches.

Try harder for JEE so that you don't get state college.

Placements: There is very less chance that you get placed directly from college. No power plant company hire directly. No other internship programme or tech activities are promoted by college superiors. Most of student go for TCS as there unwillingful option. So don't hurry and one more time for JEE.

Good faculty, but the knowledge they have is archaic, and syllabus is tumultuous and robust.

Placements: The placements are good for CSE students, and the other branches have some fewer opportunities. The placements are mainly in the local company. A few good companies visit the campus. The service-oriented companies are more on the placement visits. The mass recruitment is also done here.

College of contemptible persons who can read on self but don't require campus fun.

Placements: The core companies rarely come to the college for the placements, but non-technical placements are frequent with a package around 2-3.5 LPA. I got placed in ResearchINN at first place with a package around 2.74 LPA. Bulk recruiting companies involve many software companies.

Absolute disaster and waste of talent.

Placements: Only TCS company visit with limited offer seats, there is no guarantee of placements, even the maximum students with good marks don't get the jobs in this college. It fails to provide the placements. There is no scope for the placement in this college, and it keeps showing old history where once upon a time a company came kind of thing.

The college could have been much better if the faculty was more focused on molding students according to the needs of current technological era. Rather, sessional marks and assignments become center of learning here. The students are completely cut off from things like interesting projects, summer internship opportunities etc. This makes them unsuitable for innovation, having a technical mindset and for companies. Hence, the placements records are extremely poor. Core companies approaching are a...

The campus is good, but very poor faculty and staff. The quality of education is old and completely theoretical, no creativity. Feels like I wasted my 4 years here. The environment here is unfriendly. If still you wish to go for this college, do not go for the EEE branch.

It’s nice to be in Bhilai Institute of Technology. Some faculty members are very supportive but some are very rude and try to demotivate. They say you will get placement from college but it’s untrue. In this year there is no campus drive in the college. Teaching quality is good but they aren’t able to complete the course in time.

Whatever I have learnt in 4 years is from my peers. I would not recommend this college to anyone who seeks an extra ordinary placement and campus life. The city is dull and to excel, one has to go out his way. The place is advantageous when it comes to study as there are no distractions of that of a metro city.

I had a horrible college experience, and the management should change its mentality.

Placements: Around 30% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month, the average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. Companies that visit our college are BYJU's, IBM, SAP, Infosys, TCS etc. Top roles like assistant software engineer are offered in TCS. The highest package offered is 8LPA, the average package offered is 2 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 1 LPA. Around 5% of the students got internships in IBM, ...

Review of Bhilai Institute of Technology.

Placements: Our college does not provide placements in the civil engineering department, but students might get placed in BPO. There are sporadic placements in other branches, but in the civil branch, it is very hard to find jobs near Raipur. I got placed in a BPO, and the salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month in Gurgaon which is below standards considering the city.

There are very poor placements. Infrastructure is average.

Placements: Placements in our college are poor. The highest salary package offered was 4.2 LPA, and it was offered by GSG. Many companies offered telecom jobs. Companies like Justdial, TCS, GDG, ICICI, etc., visited here for placements. There is a placement cell named as TPO Cell, and it is not useful. Roles offered by the companies were majorly to receive calls in call centres.

Overall, this institute is not in a way which technical institute should be.

Placements: In placements, the average salary package offered is 3-4 LPA. But it's still less than our expectations because our college has been one of the leading technical institutes of central India. Most of the companies that visit our college to recruit students are Wipro, TCS, etc.
