Q:   Is M.A. at Centre for Online Education a good choice?

A:
{Source: M.A. students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

* Course structure: The M.A. at Centre for Online Education (COE) is a correspondence course, focusing on practical development and theoretical knowledge.
* Teaching staff: Students praise the teaching staff, saying they are helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive.
* Assignment-based: The course relies heavily on assignments, making it essential for students to stay on track.
* Placement: Unfortunately, COE does not offer placement assistance, leaving students to fend for themselves.
* Infrastructural limitations: As a distance-learning institution, COE lacks physical infrastructure, including libraries, hostels, and canteens.
* Faculty availability: Teachers are available through online modes, requiring students to purchase additional resources or rely on internal motivation.
* Curriculum: The course curriculum is average, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline.
* Passing percentage: The passing percentage ranges between 70-80%.
* Career prospects: While some students secured jobs with reputed companies like TCS and Wipro, others struggled to find employment opportunities.
* Overall experience: Despite some drawbacks, students generally report having a positive experience with COE, praising the flexibility and autonomy of the online platform.

In conclusion, while COE may not excel in terms of infrastructural facilities or placement assistance, it appears to offer a solid foundation in the subject matter, with supportive teaching staff and flexible learning options. However, students must be prepared to take charge of their own learning journey, invest time and effort into completing assignments, and potentially seek external guidance to secure career advancement opportunities.

Course Curriculum Structure for M.A.

* Lengthy Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is considered lengthy for a Master's degree, particularly for M.A. English.
* Advanced Course Curriculum: However, the faculty members consider the course curriculum to be advanced, indicating a focus on depth and complexity of topics.
* No Regular Lectures or Classes: As an open course, there are no regular lectures or classes, requiring students to manage their studies independently.

Ignou- my Masters buddy !
Placements: I just completed my Masters in Hindi from IGNOU. During the course, our whole session was online; we got our study material books, and counseling classes were also there to help us in our study. At IGNOU, our self-taught teachers are always there to help and teach; they also helped us achieve our future goals and clear up all the confusion about the course. Avdhesh Panday sir is in the MHD program VNC, DU, or IGNOU.
Infrastructure: As already mentioned, my complete course was online; I never visited my college during my Masters, which was my best overall experience. I will never forget those golden days of my Masters degree. Even exams are not that tough, mostly due to assignments and books.
Faculty: My teachers were always so helpful and the best for us. They teach us something different, even more than their job. Thank you, sir. Mr. Avdhesh Pandey ji is our course counselor at VNC. And Dr. Santosh Panday, sir, in the final year, additional papers. I am just happy.
Other: I started in 2020 and completed my Masters in 2023; it was a great experience overall. Assignments are one of the most important parts of the course.

The teachers are well qualified.
Placements: The placement percentage is around 80% - 90%. Companies like Globiva, Radical Minds, and Viva India, etc. Are coming for the campus placement. The various roles are Content writers, Editor, Technical writers, Copy writers, Proofreader, Journalism, public relations Specials etc.
Infrastructure: There is a library facility available for the students. The college provides the medical facility available for the students at a free of cost. There is a Wi-Fi facility available for the students in classrooms as well as in the hostel rooms. The classrooms are big enough.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in nature and guide the students for the future. The teachers are well qualified and have great knowledge of their subject. This course makes the students industry-ready. The exams are held semester-wise as well as mid-semester-wise.

IGNOU M.A. Psychology Review.
Placements: As it was a correspondence course, it focused rather more on Practical Development of the students. Some support for placements would be appreciated but the overall engagement of student towards the course is good. There is no such top role offered from this course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the Maidan Garhi Campus is good. Every facility is provided and respective departments are easily accessible. Campus is green, and cafeteria is available. It is spread across a large area. As it is an open university so I'm not really certain about the Hostels.
Faculty: The faculty of this university is also appreciable. They ensure utmost involvement of students, and try their best to share the knowledge. They clear each and every doubt, and gives trips and ticks to crack the exams. The pass percentage is around 70-80%
Other: None.

IGNOU is the best open university.
Placements: There is no placement facility in this college, if you want to take placement facility then you should go for a regular college. In open university, you would not get this facility. Some recruiting companies come by chance. Overall placement facility is not good.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is very well. The college is well maintained. The college environment is peaceful. But there is no Wi-Fi facility available. Library is quite and peaceful. Classrooms are very huge and neat and clean. Structure of the college is nice.
Faculty: Faculty of this course is very well educated. Very helpful faculty for the students. The faculty is one of the best in this country and the course curriculum follows Delhi university pattern. Our college offers every course.

My real experience in IGNOU.
Placements: There is no placement in this course. It is a Master's degree only as I mentioned above. There is no placement in this course, so no package at all. Not any company direct recruit any Master's degree holder you have to crack NET EXAM. There is no internship in this distance-based course of online education. You can become professor with this degree by cracking NET EXAM.
Infrastructure: As we know that this institute is an open university that provides online studies, so there is no real infrastructure for real study programmes. You have to study online, so there is no library and there is no Wi-Fi system. There is no hostel, no canteen, and no medical facility. It is distance learning which is an online based study, so IGNOU has no real infrastructure provided for the student.
Faculty: Teachers are available through online mode. If you want them to teach you, you have to buy extra packages. IGNOU also provide book of their own, and it totally depend on the student whether they want to take it or not.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a professor and want to teach.

Our college provides great infrastructure.
Placements: Approximately 8 students got placed out of 10 students. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. Internships are also offered in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Classrooms, laboratory, library, etc., are well-maintained. It also has a good Wi-Fi network. There are around 7-8 canteens in our college. Sports facilities like cricket, badminton, table tennis, etc., are available. It has advanced laboratories such as AR, VR, robotics, etc. Our campus is very clean.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and they are very friendly. They also clear students' doubts. Our course curriculum is advanced. The pass percentage is 90%.

The online M.A in Rural Development (MARDOL) program at IGNOU's Centre for Online Education wants 10-12 hours of online classes per week. Classes are typically held on the weekends to accommodate working professionals, but some weekday sessions may be included depending on the course structure.
