Placements and T&P cell of the college were good.
Placements: Placements in the college were quite good during our tenure. Almost 30% of the students got placed including me. Special thanks to T&P department who gave us several seminars and improved our communication skills by conducting aptitude test, group discussion, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide Wi-Fi facilities. Classrooms are spacious, but the benches were not comfortable. Our college has a huge library, and every book was available there. The college doesn't show any interest in sports and games. Quality of food served in the canteen was average. Hostels are very disgusting. If I have to rate the overall infrastructure, I will give it a 2 out of 5.
Faculty: During our time, faculty members were good for every subject. But after one year, those faculty members went to other colleges. After that, we were struggling to have at least one good faculty member in our 3 years. The university decides the course curriculum.

Overall I will rate the college good not too much but enough for an average student to get exp thing
Placements: It has a placement cell which is quite good but to those who don't care won't get placements, the highest package of our batch was around 8lacs p. a who was placed and the lowest went was 25k p. m. but still a lot of students were placed din companies like merchant navy, HCl and more.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi with good exposure to co curricular activities and a big library along with hostels and a good food facility. It's a group of institutions with Diploma and degree full time courses. Now maybe it has opened a school too to develop the infrastructure. But when we used to study there are very little options to reach on time to college if you miss the college bus as it is a bit on the inner linings of a station named mandhar.
Faculty: Teachers at our time were ultimate ones, had they not been there I wouldn't have reached here. They provided us exposure to each and every phase which we had to go through to become an engineer. And also personality development classes with guest lecturers were held to know and compete about in the present scenario when education is being completed.
Other: There is always fests and events every year to have lot of fun and learn a lot of tech grants. Also sports competition are held inter and intra college.

A review on Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Raipur.
Placements: Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology has good placements. The companies like Bajaj, Idea, Airtel, come to the college for placements. They find brilliant students in our group and offer them good salary packages. Every student will be happy with the facilities in Columbia College.
Infrastructure: Our college has free Wi-Fi, football ground, cricket ground, good canteen facilities, grounds, etc. Every facility required by the students is available in our college. We have a seminar hall which is one of the best seminar halls.
Faculty: Every month, Columbia Institute organises seminars, SST classes and sports. A guest faculty who has great achievements in their life and are knowledgeable in their field come to our college. They give lots of knowledge to the students, and they explain future planning.
Other: Every facility in our college is very good.

Really good team that develops students' future.
Placements: There are good placements at our college. Various companies such as Hero, Bajaj, Maruti and banking campus visited the campus for placements. There is a well-coordinated placement department.
There is a person responsible for the training and placement department who contacts several companies. At least 20 companies visit each and every year.
Infrastructure: There is a well-defined and beautiful building with a good garden. There are suitable lab facilities, and there is also a well-maintained and clean seminar hall that has adequate space. There is a well-defined sitting arrangement in the classrooms. It is a Wi-Fi enabled campus, and there is an excellent computer lab. The faculty members are nice.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful at any time, and you can clear your doubts any day. The method of teaching of each teacher is different and logistic in manner. The teaching staff are highly qualified, and extra curriculum activities are good in manner. Sports day is conducted at the starting of the year.
Other: There is a celebration of colours each year, and scholarships are provided to poor students whose family income is less than 1 lac per annum.

All About My College in one Breath.
Placements: The placement of the Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology has been good since their first batch. This year's placement record has not been updated yet but if we talk about previous year, the placement was 82%. The salary offers have been different with different years but the average salary has been in the range of 2-4 Lacs per annum. The minimum salary has been 0.9-2 Lacs per annum while the highest till has reached upto 21 Lacs per annum. The list of few companies (includes local as well as national and international brands) from the year 2016-2018 that visited campus and are likely to visit in future are-
1) Tech Mahindra
2) Jain Software
3) JJ PV Solar pvt Ltd.
4) Tele Performance - YAHOO
5) Tele Performance - AMAZON (for US)
6) HDFC Life
7) Dainik Bhaskar
8) Airtel
9) BSNL
10) Global Bridge information Tech
11) Shri Anand Technologies
12) Phoenix Sea Services
13) Bajaj Auto (Vandana Bajaj Raipur)
14) Jaguar-Land Rover (Satyam Balajee Raipur)
The roles/positions offered to students are as follows -
1) Technical Support Engineer
2) Customer Support Officer
3) Technical Marine Engineer
4) Marketing Executive
5) Trainee Engineer
6) Marketing Officer
7) Business Development Representative
8) Software Developer
9) ERT Officer
10) US IT Recruiter
11) Campaign Associate
12) Consultant
13) Business Development Executive
14) Trainee Marine Engineer
Internships are not as common here in Chhattisgarh as it is outside Chhattisgarh. So it will be hardly 10% of students only (stipend being unknown). The training and placement cell is very effective and helpful working to bring new companies to campus and maintaining bond with the old ones. The head of the cell is in direct contact with students of last year and meets the 3rd year student at regular basis to have a check on their development, skills and knowing them. Special attention is given to above average students for getting the excellent opportunities. From the first year Soft Skill Development classes and Aptitude classes for 2nd & 3rd year are held.
Infrastructure: The campus of Columbia Group of Institutions is vast nearly equal to NIT Raipur's campus. Though a larger part is not used, the rest is covered by Columbia Global School, Colombia College of Nursing, Columbia College of Pharmacy, Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology and Colombia College of B. Eed. The facilities includes pharmacy/medical, parking, big canteen, library, seminar hall, labs, small auditorium and green surroundings. The classrooms are normal classic style with desk, bench and a big blackboard. Classrooms are to be self maintained by students but are cleaned once in week. The Electric circuits and electrical machine lab is very creatively combined and well maintained, other labs are okay for functioning and practice. The most maintained lab are the computer labs except the software (like Matlab, Autocad etc. ). For students to practice are outdated mostly (also O. S are all Windows 7). Nursing and Pharmacy have their common canteen and Engineering has a seperate. The Engineering Block canteen is big. The menu is good and satisfying (no nonveg). The food prepared are healthy always except the taste may be compromised sometimes (Special meals are made on sunday for hostel students). The boys hostel is a four storey building inside the campus accessible through stairs. Each floor having nearly 12 rooms. Each room enough for 4 students. The room is painted plain white, has beds according to number of students living in room, wall almira, for storing valuables, a balcony and a long slab along the wall with 3-4 electrical sockets for mobile charging and other needs and studying etc. The college building is divided into two parts. One part having two floors while the other having three floors with classrooms, washrooms, boys/girls common room, department/faculty rooms, and labs. The administration officice is in th ground floor. Also the 1st year students are kept under different hod and are seperate from higher semester students and have their classrooms in ground floor just in case to avoid ragging and other illegal activities. Though the scenario is very friendly between seniors and juniors. The parking is big enough but ground for parking is not maintained. The greenery around the campus is maintained well though. With my personal experience I did not faced any infrastructure related issues till now in my campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified except one or two and are very helpful. The EEE Department is the best in terms of experienced and expertise faculty which are very helpful to students in every sense. The overall teaching quality of the whole college is average with EEE being the best of all departments. Most faculty members go with a classical way of lecture and diagrams only while a few are creative with ideas and relating the subject with real life applications. Video lectures are also used by few facilities to facilitate learning sometimes only. The faculty to students ratio is irregular with different semesters and batch although the according to the number of seats available in college it is as follows-
Mechanical branch 1:60
EEE branch 1:40
Civil branch 1:40
CSE branch 1:60
ET&T branch 1:40
Educational tours are held for 3rd year students by visiting to nearby factories or industries. The syllabus provided by the University is good enough to become a good engineer except it lacks behind in few aspects compared to modern technology.
Other: Every Year college organizes its major festival called as COLORS. During this students get to show their talent in various activities, sports, dance, singing etc. The festival lasts for 5 days most and is really enjoyed by students. Except this no extra curricular activities are held besides some seminars. Scholarships are available for SC/ST/OBC students.

Columbia Group of Institutions is a medium college.
Placements: The placements in my college are not good. Big and reputed companies are not coming to the college and not giving a place for the student in a better platform, so it is quite a bad thing. The way of management of our college department is not good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The classrooms are good. The labs are too good. The most important goodness of our college is that the canteen is too big and the quality of food is much better in low price, and the area of enjoyment is also better.
Faculty: The faculty and teaching staff members are too good. Some of them are good. They are highly educated and knowledgeable from big institutes and provide the good education as well as general life example for better life.
