Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Batch of 2021
3.4
3Placements4Infrastructure2Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good faculty, average campus life, excellent value for money.
Placements: Since this is a B.Ed. College, so they don't offer placements for students. And this is the reason why I can't provide the package and recruiting company details. And since I was among the 2019-21 batch so I didn't received any internship programme. The top roles offered in our college is B.Ed. Or/and D. El. Ed. Qualified teachers with enhanced knowledge in teaching and student monitoring skills.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide any Wi-Fi facilities to students atleast and this college has no Lab for obvious reason. But the classrooms are spacious, each student bench can hold upto 3 students but we SAT 2 students per bench. There is a single large blackboard and a teacher's desk beside that. And each classroom has two seperate doors and multiple number of windows which makes the classroom bright due to sunlight. Since our college is located a bit away from the road, we experienced no traffic noises during ongoing classes. Our library on the other hand is just an average library with decent spaces, covered with cupboards of books related to B.Ed. And D. El. Ed. Level books and subject books only. Except the books with the subject Education, the library is poor in the general collections of books, but has a daily newspaper service available. The college did have a hostel in it's past but doesn't continue them further after the hit of Covid-19. The hostel food was not average but good quality, the rooms were too and much isn't known to me because I studied from my home (because I live near the college). There is a medical back-up for students and/or staffs as a medical facility, with a sick room for those who need rest or sleep. Our college was filled with the vibes of co-curricular activities. We in the time of any festival, maintaining our Indian culture, celebrated almost every festivals, and we enjoyed doing that. The programs were students and staffs only programs, also we very frequently on almost every occasion did concerts as we ourselves as participants. On sports field, we had a large ground with sufficient area. And football and cricket was the only sports we played.
Faculty: The teachers were no doubt a great help to us. They are all highly qualified, mostly being mastered in education, I. e. , M.Ed. They taught us with great efficiency as well as with due respect. The course curriculum is relevant indeed but making a student ready for school, this question is hard to tell because it depends upon the student who is pursuing the course. If he/she like studying and teaching, and is good ATIT they are ready for schools coming on them, and vice versa. To be honest, semester exams are not at all difficult due to a negative role of the college which almost every colleges in India now prefers to do, I. e. , hall collection and cheat sharing. If we weren't given any chance to do so, we would get lesser marks for sure. This is because of the course syllabus they offer. They provide tons of useless syllabus which is not needed for us as a teacher. We don't need the theories and all. We just need to learn the teaching styles and techniques, students psychology and knowledge of our own subject.
Other: I chose the course because I wanted to become a teacher and B.Ed. Is one among many important criteria to become a teacher. The best things about this course is well, you get an extra two years of college life and hence student's life. I wish nothing much but want this course to become more and more selective and choose qualitative syllabus over quantitative one. I personally demand that the syllabus would be so that we learn many things from this course being a teacher and not the heavy assignments to be completed or written day after day.
