MBA/PGDM at Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies: Worth the Investment?

Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS) has received mixed reviews from its alumni and current students regarding whether the MBA/PGDM programme is worth the investment. Here's a summary of the key points:

    Infrastructure and Campus Life:
    * The college has an average infrastructure, with decent classrooms, libraries, and lab facilities.
    * While the campus is not very large, it has a nice atmosphere and is easily accessible.
    * Some students mentioned that the canteen could be improved, while others appreciated the availability of amenities like Wi-Fi and lifts.

    Faculty and Teaching:
    * Faculty members are generally considered helpful, knowledgeable, and cooperative.
    * They are known for creating interactive sessions and providing industry exposure to students.
    * Many students praised the quality of teaching and the way faculty helps groom their skills.

    Placement Opportunities:
    * About 50-70% of students get placed every year, with some notable companies visiting the campus.
    * Salary packages range from INR3.5 Lacs to INR12 Lacs per annum, with an average package of around INR4-9 LPA.
    * Marketing and finance students seem to receive more placements and higher salary packages.

    Course Curriculum and Industry Exposure:
    * The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry.
    * Industry exposure is provided through guest lectures, industrial visits, and live projects.
    * Some students felt that the course could be improved with more emphasis on practical applications.

    Other Points:
    * The college has a relatively low cost of living and transportation in comparison to other cities in India.
    * Students appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and supportive faculty.

Overall, while DIAS may not be one of the top-ranked institutions in terms of infrastructure, it seems to excel in terms of faculty and teaching quality, placement opportunities, and industry exposure. For those considering pursuing an MBA/PGDM from DIAS, these factors might outweigh the limitations of the college's physical setup. However, individual experiences may vary depending on personal preferences and expectations.
