Commonly asked questions On Highlights
Q: Is B.Com at Disha College a good choice?
A:
{Source: B.Com students & alumni}
* Campus: The campus is a major drawback, with no gardens, sitting areas, or vehicle parking spaces. The college's size relative to its fees is also considered poor.
* Facilities: While the classrooms are well-equipped with benches and tables, the canteen is average, and there is no laboratory. The college lacks a hostel facility and has limited internet connectivity.
* Teaching staff: Most students find the teaching staff to be supportive, knowledgeable, and cooperative, helping students to clear their doubts and prepare them for exams.
* Course structure: Some students found the course curriculum to be outdated and boring, making it challenging to adapt to real-world scenarios.
* Placement: Unfortunately, the college has faced issues with placements, with some batches having zero placement rates. Local companies rarely visit the campus for recruitments.
* Overall experience: A majority of students expressed disappointment with the college's infrastructure and amenities, citing poor facilities and unimpressive events. However, they did appreciate the supportive teaching staff and the opportunity to gain knowledge in accountancy.
Based on these reviews, we cannot conclusively say whether a B.Com degree from Disha College is a "good" choice. While the college has some positive aspects, such as supportive faculty and a decent location, its lackluster infrastructure, poor placements, and outdated course curriculum may deter some students. Ultimately, prospective students must weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision.

Education provided is good, but campus is not worth the fee paid.
Placements: I have not yet gotten any placements.
Infrastructure: The campus is not good. There is neither a garden nor a place to sit. There is no vehicle parking area. Classrooms are good, with good benches and tables. The canteen is average. The campus is too small according to the fee. It is not worth it.
Faculty: Teachers are good, understanding, and cooperative. They clear doubts and take classes regularly. No teachers are rude.
Other: I changed it in the first year as the campus was not worth the fee. Despite the campus, there were many activities and opportunities.

It is the best college for students.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest salary package is 5 LPA, and the average salary package is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ITC Ltd, ICICI Bank, etc. Students have to maintain more than 75% in academics to get placements. Top roles offered are CTO, CMO, manager, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good canteen, library, sports room, classroom, etc. It is well-maintained with cleanliness. Wi-Fi facility and bus services are available. The environment of our college is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, supportive, polite, knowledgeable, and well-qualified. Teaching techniques are good. The course curriculum makes students ready for the industry. Exams are not difficult to pass. The pass percentage is more than 50%.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best for MBA, bank services, government jobs, and many more. Our seniors are helpful and polite. Many fun activities are organised every week. Students with more than 60% in their intermediate get admission to this college.

I am not satisfied with placements and infrastructure of this college.
Placements: Placements are not good. Internships are offered in this course. Top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment. Top roles are not offered in this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is not good. Our campus is not Wi-Fi-enabled. Laboratory is not good. Classrooms are well maintained. Projectors are available in our classrooms. Hostel facilities are not available in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are ready to serve students in all aspects. The course curriculum does not make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Our college provides good education. There is no need for any improvement. Events are conducted in this college.

Faculty members are still okay but no placement opportunities.
Placements: No one actually got placed from my batch because there are no good companies in our campus, only one or two companies were there and not so good. No top company came, no student got internship, no top role was offered. In my college there is 0% placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really bad. I personally feel my college is just a waste of money; there is no campus hostel of our college, one small canteen but the food quality was not so good.
Faculty: Faculty members are not really good; they don't have as much knowledge or experience. Teachers were not that great in our college, they really don't have that technique, our course and college both don't get students ready for the industry, exam was not that difficult, the passing percentage is 70% and most of the students get passed easily.
Other: I chose this course to improve my knowledge towards accountancy. The best thing is that you really learn about how and where the money goes and how the calculation of transactions is done. No such fest happened that's the demerit of my college only few small events were conducted by the college; not really great experience.

It is a good college if you want to study at Raipur or Chhattisgarh.
Placements: From our batch, I think none of the students got placed from our college. The thing is you don't really get a placement just after completing your bachelor's degree in our city or state. However, our college will try to approach certain local companies for placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms here are well spacious, and the Wi-Fi facility is decent. The infrastructure of this college is pretty good compared to other colleges in the city. There is a parking space, and the canteen serves fresh and tasty good. Potato chilly is the best food item served in it. The computer lab is also good.
Faculty: Teachers here are qualified and knowledgeable except for one or two teachers which is the same situation in every other college. The course curriculum is boring and outdated, but it is the flaw of our university and Indian education system. However, our college has tried to use a practical approach.
Other: I wish that our college should spend more time to prepare students for inter-college sports competitions.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college were good with good environment. Library was good with many kinds of books for students to read. Games and sports facilities were good.
