One of the good colleges for Arts and Science in Chennai.
Placements: Dr Ambedkar Government Arts College is a good college. Every year around 40%-60% of students get placed. Majority of the companies are BPO and telecaller-based companies. The basic salary package is Rs. 15000 per month. Last year our college celebrated its Golden Jubilee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is simple and good. The canteen is okay. Classrooms, laboratories, library, and other blocks are well maintained. The hostel is good, and the quality of food is also good. There are a number of sports facilities and other activities available.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They guide students in a good way. Our principal is a kind person. Their teaching is very helpful for learning. Semester exams are moderate. The minimum pass percentage is 40%. The course curriculum is relevant to the field.

Placements: Our college provides decent placement opportunities. The average salary offered is around Rs. 10,000 - 25,000 per month. Top recruiters are BPO companies. Around 40-55% of students get placed every year. Most of the students will prefer higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Our college has all the basic facilities. There is no Wi-Fi facility inside the campus. The library is well-maintained. The hostel is good. The food quality is acceptable. The college is located in Vyasarpadi.
Faculty: Our faculty members and staff are very friendly towards students. They are highly qualified. Their teaching is helpful. The course curriculum is relevant to the field. Semester exams are easy to clear if we study properly during the study hours.

Not so satisfied with the campus facilities.
Placements: As a defense student, there is no information available about campus placements. We are required to seek job opportunities independently. Among students from other departments, less than 75% secured placements either through on-campus or off-campus avenues. The average offered salary ranged between 2-3 LPA, with the highest salary being 5 LPA. Notably, no students secured internships within our college.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide any Wi-Fi facility for students, and there are only a few labs available for certain departments. However, the classrooms are considered to be good compared to other facilities. Additionally, the college has a library with a vast collection of books. The hostel is average, but the food provided for hostel students is good. Moreover, the college has access to local medical facilities.
Faculty: The teachers at my college are highly qualified and supportive of the students. They possess extensive knowledge, and the quality of teaching is commendable. Although the course curriculum may not be highly relevant, the teachers actively assist students in becoming industry-ready. Placements: All the students in my course secured placements. The highest, lowest, and average packages varied depending on the company. The IT sector is a top recruiter. Various subjects like marketing management, principles of management, and accounting are available.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are neat and clean. The hostel is of high quality, offering clean and healthy food. The canteen, medical facilities, and sports amenities are excellent. The labs, library, canteen, medical services, and sports facilities are all top-notch.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. Their teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. Semester exams may be manageable due to the talented faculty.
Other: I opted for a BBA Financial Management at this college. The course offers insights into industry and marketing management. The college provides numerous opportunities, such as events, festivals, campus life, connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities.

Placements: The placement opportunities are average at this college. The companies visiting this college are mostly BPO-based companies. A student’s review of the college.
Placements: Only a few students are placed under the CM Naan Mudhalvan programme. Companies like Mahindra, Muthoot finance corp and other top companies of Tamil Nadu visit for hiring. Our department provides various internship programmes to develop the students’ knowledge. My course offers us roles to be a nutritionist and dietician as well as in the health departments and other facilities.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in our department are labs, practical laboratories as well as a library to help the students. I don't belongs to the hostel, but I know have information about the hostel that the hostel is completely free of charge and the food is also free being provided three times a day.
Faculty: Our staff is well knowledgeable and are up to date regarding today’s curriculum. Our HOD is very helpful and guide us every step of ours to move forward to the next step in life. The semester exams are almost easy to understand, the subjects are easy to understand. The passing percentage of my course is about 95%.
Other: My reason to choose this course was to improve my health status. More practical skills than theoretical skills need to be included in the curriculum.
