I believe that IIIT-D is among the best places in the country to study computer science (and now possibly electronics and communication as well). However, as I pointed out in my last post, one should probably join only if they’re convinced that CS/ECE is what they really want to study. There’s a very good reason for this: IIIT-D as an institution wants students to either get placed in high-end industry positions or study further in the field (MS/PhD). So if you simply want to sail through your b...

One of the best places to do an MBA. Cost Benefit ratio is one of the best in the industry. College professors are not fussy unlike other B School this gives you a lot of time to explore your life. In terms of companies that come to recruit, this is one of the best colleges.

- Friendly and experienced faculty who have had great exposure - Being among top B-schools and being in NCR helps in placements - Lower course fee is a major attraction - Industry exposure throughout the course set up by placement committee as well as faculty - Though known for landing marketing jobs, other sectors also get good coverage

Great student crowd and faculty. Some distinguished professors who really knew their stuff. Lot of industry interaction and live projects to do. Lot of late night work/assignments to be done, but they were all worth the effort. Infrastructure could be better and the institute would benefit a lot if it moves to a larger/new area/campus.

Classes at FMS are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. An equal weightage of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Although surprise tests are not very common but students try and stay as up-to-date as possible in subjects such as Finance and Economics where you won't know when your knowledge is put to test. Students are not give...

Review of FMS - Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.

Placements: Placements are just awesome here because FMS is one of the renowned colleges for MBA programmes. It is among the top colleges in India. In FMS, the fee is not high compared to IIMs, but the return is excellent as you invest around Rs. 30,000 for the master programme. The average salary package offered here is around 17 LPA to 18 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is around 12 LPA.

The best decision of my life is to choose FMS.

Placements: I placed in the Ministry of Home Affairs for the post of Assistant Accountant. I worked under our honorable home minister M.S. Sushma Swaraj. It's a great experience to be there. I didn't place there because of college, but the degree of FMS certainly helped me.
