A very good and strict (for UG students) college, promoting education and self development.

Placements: Talking about the placements for ME students, core field companies are less interested in recruiting the master's students. The placement coordinators of the college try to pitch in the companies to recruit the master's students. So some companies do agree over it. Considering my batch, two of my colleagues were places in Infosys. Many companies visit this college for placements, out of them if they require master's candidates, the placement team informs us. The T&P cell is excellent here. Now ...

Placements: The placement is quite good here. All the companies like Godrej, Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, L&T are coming every year and giving the high package to students. So, the placement is awesome. If you have good knowledge and good presentation skill, then you will surely select by placement companies.

The college provides excellent theoretical and practical knowledge.

Placements: This college provides good placement for the students. Every year, 50 to 60 students get a job from the college campus. In this college, many MNCs arrive for talented students like Alstrom, Reliance, TCS, L&T, TGB, Siemens etc. In my batch, out of 77 students, 40 to 42 students were placed. Out of them, 2 students were placed with the best package of 45k per month in Alstrom company. The average package provided by the companies is around 30k per month. Good placement, average infrastructure and average faculty.

Placements: If you compare it with other Gujarat colleges, it is in top 5 of the best private engineering colleges in terms of placement. Every year almost 230 students get placed from different branches. Among these, computer, IT and EC branches are on top. The least placed branch is chemical. Around 10-11 students get placed in it. In electrical and mechanical branches, the placement rate is around 45-50%. About 3-4 core companies visit for these two branches like L&T, Adani, Supergas, Alstom etc. So if y...

Placements: A good number of good companies arrive for placement drive. I was placed in a Nagpur-based e-commerce company. Overall placement facility is good. Core companies offered graduate engineer trainee and service engineer or technical sales engineer or many other types of roles. Godrej offered Rs. 5.5 lpa and L&T offered Rs. 4.87 lpa package. G.H Patel College of Engineering and Technology known as GCET is located in Vallabh Vidhaynagar, Anand. The faculty members for master’s degree in Industrial Engineering are highly qualified and specialized in their relevant subject. In the final year of the master’s degree, students are given the opportunity to work in the live industry projects, which is a good industrial experience. All over it is worth spending two years in this college for a master’s degree in industrial engineering.

I have completed my B.E. in Computer Engineering in GCET, Vidyanagar, Gujarat. At that time, our and other 3 colleges were the only colleges those did not joined in JACPC for admission committee. Our batch was fine and was well placed. But my senior batch was not placed properly, as in India in 2008-10 there was recession time. So believe me that was not college's fault. In most of the colleges of India, not just in Gujarat, placements were not happening. GCET college campus is not that much...

College is really good. Lot of value addition is there as faculty members are the key asset for college. Campus is small compared to other top colleges but its architecture is really good. Plus placements are also good. They had called Microsoft during our time and it was for the 1st time for Gujarat to get companies like Microsoft in on-campus drives. Lots of events happen which are actually very good and helpful.

The good thing is the placements, the average package goes around 3 lacs. The bad thing is the campus area, it's very less. Try to avoid hostel food as it is very bad and unhygienic. The faculty is new and not as knowledgeable enough as one would expect them to be.

There should be more hands on learning and workshops. Canteen facility should be improved, they should include more meals and snacks in the menu. Big brands do come to the campus, but better pitching can include some more. There is lot of restrictions relating to non-use of cell phones, such restrictions only increase students to do what is told them not to do. Extra restrictions should be removed.

It’s a best college to study under GTU affiliation. But i would suggest not to go for GTU degree. The learning under GTU is marks based and is not worth education based. The college provides all the basic amenities to students and also has a decent placement records with average package of around 3 LPA.
