B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) - Batch of 2027
4.4
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Absolutely worth the money.
Placements: This year, most of the students were placed in the Data Science stream, since our college faculty is very serious about placements. The highest package offered this year was 10 LPA, the lowest was 2 LPA, and the average package most students got was 8 LPA. Beginning your career with 8 LPA is quite okay, but giving a 60,000 fee per year is not that worth. In my contact, most seniors got good internships in renowned companies like Acmegrade. Most importantly, I’m in my 2nd year of college, and the college faculty is so serious about placements that they have also started free courses, where they taught us different languages that are necessary, and aptitude preparation.
Infrastructure: We have 3 buildings: 1 is for the freshers, where they have separate labs and AC classrooms; 2 buildings are for the seniors, where we have separate labs, Wi-Fi, an auditorium, and grounds; and the 3rd building is for the placement cell and exam conducting, as most government exams are held in our college. We have 9 computer labs in both the buildings and different labs for mechanical and chemistry. The library is well-furnished, with a Wi-Fi connection and a smart board to teach us. Since college management is now working on enhancement of the buildings, we have very well-furnished classrooms with AC and everything. Our college does not have hostel facilities; since we don't have a college hostel, there are hostel buildings near the college. They have the best hostel rooms. Talking about the cafeteria, the food quality is average, and after a lot of complaints about the canteen, the management has taken the issue seriously, and now the new cafeteria is being built. We have good medical facilities, and there are a lot of sports activities. Students are interested in participating; recently, our college students participated in a state-level Taekwondo competition and won a gold medal, and they are now selected for the national level. We have badminton and other sports. For students interested in vocals, like singing, playing guitar, and Casio, in most events like Diwali and Holi parties, the college itself calls those students, and there is a special program where students enjoy karaoke.
Faculty: I must say that we have the best college faculty; the teachers are truly amazing. I’m at a loss for words to describe them. To give you an honest review, the first-year teachers are very helpful and genuinely caring. They teach in such a way that you won't even want to skip classes. Their knowledge is impressive, and they engage the students. Talking about the course, I think it's relevant, since in Data Science, we will be working on data that most companies have. For this, a very good command of Python and its libraries is necessary. It’s important to dedicate at least 3 months to Python and go deep into it. Every month, after the semester starts, we have a mid-semester exam, which is of 20 marks, and then before the actual university exam, we have the PUT (pre-unit test), which is of 80 marks, including all the syllabus. The passing criteria are 33%, which is good enough to score, and teachers are cooperative during practicals. Talking about attendance, if you have good behavior towards them, they will handle your attendance; otherwise, they will fail you for not maintaining proper attendance.
Other: In my contact, most of the people have chosen this stream. It's pretty easy for those who work to understand Data Science. A good point is we just need to learn one language and have a good command of that, and afterwards, we can try different languages according to our needs. I think it is enough to improve, and the best way is to talk about a 2-year teacher now who gives you notes that are good, like students will make themselves, and in that way, we can also learn. In our college, we celebrate every festival like Holi, Diwali, and most of the MBAs have their different fests, in which we are also included. It’s easy to connect, since every senior and junior is sweet. One good point for reserved category students is that they have scholarships based on the quota for SC/ST students, and for general students, there is no scholarship, so we have to pay the full fees. No other scholarships are available. In extracurricular activities, we have dance, singing, and games conducted by the teacher and workshops, especially for computer students. Our college took us on a small trip inside Jabalpur. Now the new rules have come: dress is necessary for 2nd-year students. We have to come in proper uniform, or else we will not be allowed to attend classes. We have lady bouncers and male bouncers, especially for freshers, who roam everywhere to make sure every student is inside the classroom, and we are not allowed to sit in the canteen. The college is strict about bunking and serious about studies.

Global Engineering College Jabalpur's CS branch has excellent faculty, good infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was ₹12 lakh per annum, the lowest was ₹4 lakh per annum, and the average package was ₹7 lakh per annum. Some of the top recruiting companies for our course include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and IBM. Around 80% of students got internships from our course in companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and IBM.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped Computer Science and Engineering department with modern labs having branded PCs with a minimum i3 processor, 4GB RAM, and 500GB HDD. The department has a dedicated Wi-Fi network with a speed of 10 Mbps. The hostel facilities are good, with clean and spacious rooms. The food quality in the mess and canteen is average, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, with a focus on practical learning and project-based assignments. The course curriculum is relevant and industry-oriented, with a focus on emerging technologies like IoT, AI, and Data Science. The semester exams are moderately difficult, with a focus on testing students' understanding of concepts.
Other: I chose this course because of its industry-oriented curriculum, focus on emerging technologies, and good placement opportunities. The college organizes various events and fests, including technical, cultural, and sports events.

Teaching techniques is good and average facilities.
Placements: Greetings students, at our esteemed global engineering college, approximately 45 to 49% of students secure placements annually. The highest placement package offered stands at 48 LPA, while the lowest is 1.6 LPA, with an average placement package of 4 LPA. Notable recruiting companies include Tata and Reliance, among others.
Infrastructure: In my opinion, based on my personal experience, I would like to mention that the management of the global college is satisfactory. The college boasts well-equipped classrooms with amenities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, coolers, and some even have smartboards. Additionally, the college provides a well-stocked library with an ample collection of books for the students.
Faculty: The faculty at the global engineering college are extremely supportive and highly skilled. Certain instructors are also very approachable. The most commendable aspect of the faculty is their effective teaching methods. I would like to mention that the course curriculum is somewhat relevant. However, the pattern and syllabus are considerably outdated.
Other: Students often find themselves having to travel extensively for various tasks, which can be quite time-consuming due to average management practices.
