The most inexpensive college across India with quality education and facility.

Placements: There are placement opportunities for B.Com students by the big 4 auditing firm like Deloitte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Ernst and Young, and KPMG. Many other companies like Futures First, HSBC, Amazon, etc. also visited. The average salary offered is between 3.5 LPA and the highest package offered was Rs. 920000 CTC by Future First and the lowest was offered by Amazon for Rs. 270000.

Goenka College, a truly government college with no vision or mission.

Placements: No such placement cell exists in the college. Since it is primarily a UG college, few firms come for students. A bad college from the placement perspective. The last big placement came in 2009 when Exide selected 2 students for the internship. Overall, a bad place for such things.

All the facilities are worth value.

Placements: In our college, the placement takes place from the beginning of final year session. We all have a good and supportive faculty for the placement. Time to time they get us to indulge in placement seminar. As our institution is the top commerce institute in West Bengal, more recruiters are attracted towards our institution. Our top recruiters are Godrej, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and other BPO and financial institutions.

Its a brand and not just a name which has good faculty members and placements

Placements: Its one of the few colleges in Kolkata that has placement benefit after you have completed your B.Com. Generally, the campusing starts at the end of third year of b.com. The students getting placed are quite good in numbers at least in our batch. Companies like ICICI, Unitech, Godrej & Boyace and the big four also came to hire (PWC, E&Y, Delloite). Salaries ranged from 1.8 to 2.3 lakhs per annum. The amount given is at par with industry standard. Roles relating to accounts and audit associate p...

Is is the best collage under Calcutta University and is also said no. 1 collage in commerce stream. Faculty members are very understanding. It is a government college. So, fee is nominal. Fee is less than 2000 per year for B.Com Honours. School has a great infrastructure too.

The college and faculty members are very good. Some of the faculty members were excellent. I always enjoyed the over enthusiastic canteen. Though on campus side students have very limited access. In Kolkata, Goenka college is considered the best after St. Xavier’s.

It is the best commerce college in Calcutta University. Cut-off percentage is really high. So, if you get into it once, you know that you are with quality of students that makes healthy competition to score good marks and pass graduation with first class. Teachers and principal are very cooperative as well as strict at same time, punctuality and discipline is of utmost advantage.

It is one of the pioneers in commerce with an adequately good campus. The faculty is quite good. Library is also very good. Student Politics can be reduced to a certain extent. Regarding facilities for commerce study, it can receive 9/10 marks. But facilities are not that much modern in type. More than 92% is required to get a chance there for Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Intake of students is around 400.

Faculty members are excellent. Classes are interactive. It is one of the top colleges in commerce. It is ranked no.1 two years back to back by India Today. You have to attend regular classes. That’s a drawback for those who are doing job and also want to pursue M.Com.

It is a simple college with regular classes and campus fun but lacks standard crowd. But it’s still fun to be in such a reputed college. Yes, you will not have the biggest fest or other events but being involved is always fun. So, I recommend people who wish to get good grades in B.Com must try this college.

The fee structure is very low about Rs. 100 per month. So, it is affordable and the location is also good has a good brand. There are two slots for the students-morning session and afternoon session and both being co-ed but the college authorities can at times be very insensitive. In Kolkata, it has a good brand name but it lacks infrastructure. Overall, looking at the fees and brand name, I would recommend it to the ones who did not make it to St Xavier’s in Kolkata or other top 10 colleges.

Rated as the best college for commerce under Calcutta University, the college has an amazing faculty. Discipline is a must if one wishes to study in this institution. No concessions are given for attendance and any student failing to have the minimum required attendance as per Calcutta university norms is not allowed to appear for the university examinations. Since it's a government college, the fees is negligible at Rs. 85 per month. However, the focus is primarily on academics and the scope of...

The college is ranked at 1st position currently in all of Kolkata. The study culture here is very good. Generally, cutoff goes to 90% here, so most of the students enrolled here are very bright. 80% of the students pursue other professional courses also like CA, CWA, CS, etc. You will find a great study culture here.

Buildings as well as ground are systematic and well defined. Everything goes on a systematic way. There's no politics or ragging inside the college.

This is undoubtedly the best college under Calcutta University. Faculty, discipline, non-political environment are the jealousy feature of the college. Besides, great academic hub college gives the opportunity to spend the college days fully e.g. College foundation day, College Quest, Sports day, Sarasvati Puja and much more. Proper canteen, campus, decorated room enriches it proud.
