The college is best for Commerce. It’s is among top ranking commerce in the city. The faculty is excellent. Disciplined college. The bad is that being a Government College it does not have the proper infrastructure. The building and laboratory are very old. Still, it is the best commerce college to have a proper education and build a strong career in life.

Honest Review of Goenka college of commerce and business administration.

Placements: Placement is a little good, but only a small number of students get a chance to be placed. Out of 600 students, only 20 to 30 get placed. Companies like Deloitte, HDFC, and Dshaw come here for placement, and they provide associate or entry-level positions with an average package of 3 to 4 LPA.

My Experience of Goenka College

Placements: Well to be honest accoto the reputation of the college the placement % is really less and disappointing. The highest package went to 9LPA as far as I remember. Companies like Deloitte visit the college. But the placement percentage is really less as I mentioned earlier.

The best college I will ever know.

Placements: The average percentage of students is 75% and above, and the placement rate is 85%. Many commerce background companies are hiring students from this college. The minimum package a student got is ₹6,00,000 per annum. The course design is very good.

Good option if you want to study from Kolkata.

Placements: Compared with other top tier colleges offering the same course, placement was below par. Only 11 out of 500+ students got placement in our batch. However the salary offered to these students was decent along with plethora of perks including option for higher education sponsored by the company itself.

Only good if you just want a degree.

Placements: 15 out of the batch of 500 got placed. 2.5 lacs to 3 lacs is the range of package offered. No internship is offered from the college. Placement is not given any importance in this college. You have to manage it on your own. Few vacancies are posted on the notice board but they are of no use as the placement cell does not take much efforts.

Placements: Our B.Com (Honours) batch passed out from the college, and nearly 95% of the students from this batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 48 LPA, and it is bagged by one of my most admired classmates. Unfortunately, my other friend wasn't so lucky and got the lowest salary package of 8 LPA. The top companies, like HUL, Patanjali, etc., visited here for placements. Roles offered were of mostly accounts management at the beginning. A fair percentage, i.e., around 50% of the students...
