Good infrastructure and crowd of SD college.
Placements: 70% of students got placements from our college.
The highest package that our college gets is 17 lakh p.a.
Companies like Dell, ICICI Bank and Accenture come to our college for placement.
50% students get internships.
Roles offered are of IT and banking.
Infrastructure: All the labs have latest windows system. The whole campus has wifi.
Our whole department is fully air conditioned .
The quality of hostel food is good with separate girls and boys hostels.
There are almost all the sports in the college.
The library of the college is very huge with availability of computers with internet for students.
There is a separate reading room for study for students. All the students study in the library everyday.
There is very big ground in the college . It has baseball area, basketball area and area for cricket.
Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified with PhD degrees.
The teaching is very good.
However, the curriculum is a bit outdated. The subjects we are studying are 10- to 15-year-old outdated technology.
The semester exams are quite difficult. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: SD College is no. 1 for BCA in Chandigarh. With this course, I got to know about technology so much and got so much information.
I want the curriculum to be more updated with the study of AI and the internet.
Our college hosts multiple events throughout the year. Our annual festival is also very good and people from far-off places come to see this.
The crowd is also very good.
There are certain scholarships for different students under different categories.
The college also participates in various extracurricular activities like youth festivals.

Overall Good College for Pursuing BCA and B.Com; Teachers Are Well Qualified.
Placements: Mainly, companies are coming to our college for B.Com courses, like Deloitte, ICICI Bank, etc. However, for BCA, there are only one or two companies hiring. Till now, only Accenture has come to pick BCA graduates. There is a huge gap in the CTC of B.Com and BCA. For B.Com, the average CTC is 7 to 8 LPA, while for BCA, the maximum LPA is only 3.5 to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the BCA department is very good. The labs and classrooms are well-maintained and fully air-conditioned; otherwise, I have no complaints about the BCA department. Honestly, I am not a hosteler, but my friend is, and the hostel is maintained at an okay level. The canteen is also just okay—not very good, so we prefer to go outside to eat.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and all of them are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is a bit different but understandable. The semester exams are decently tough; most of the questions come from the book, but sometimes the exams are a nightmare. You have to rethink for a whole month about whether you will pass or fail.
Other: I chose this course because I want to make a career in the computer field. Our college hosts one event every year called Virasat, which is decent enough.

Honest review of the college GGDSD from the student for the student.
Placements: According to the seniors, the highest package students have received in BCA is 12 LPA, and the average package is 3-4 LPA. The college doesn't provide 100% placements; very few students get placed. To sit for the placement exam, students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance. Overall, the course requires a minimum of 75% marks.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is good; almost all the labs have the latest version PCs. All the labs are air-conditioned, but this is only in the IT department, not in the classrooms of other departments. All the technologies are available to develop your skills. Wi-Fi is also available all over the campus. The library has limited books; not all subject books are available, and they are not enough for students to issue throughout the semester, so students have to buy their own books every semester.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly, but some of them are typical of all colleges. Some teachers are there to solve every student's problem and guide them, but the learning is not at an industry-ready level. They'll just teach you the very basics, and you have to develop your skills on your own.
Other: I am from a humanities background and wanted to explore the IT field, so BCA is the course that gives me the opportunity to do so. In SD BCA, you can enter the IT field without having Math and CS in your 11th and 12th grades. It would be better if the teachers focused on preparing students from a corporate perspective because students must understand how things work in the corporate field. There are many events in college, such as the Virasat Youth Festival, where you can get attendance for participating. If you are in sports, you receive extra priority. Scholarships are also available for reserved categories and for students scoring very good marks, as well as for those whose parents' annual income is below 4 LPA.

A Good to Go College in Chandigarh.
Placements: While most of the student from our course opted for further studies, nearly 30-40% students are placed by Companies like Deloitte, ICICI, Accenture. Other recruiting companies are TCS. As per internships, students have to apply for off-campus internships.
Infrastructure: As per Infrastructure, college is best while comparing to other regional colleges. It has all basic amenities on top off that air-conditioned labs, clean water coolers, ramps for specially abled students, digital library with JAWS software installed in library computers.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified most of them have completed their masters and PHD. Course curriculum has been updated as per latest NEP policy. Semester exams are easy to score well. I you want to come in rankers than you need to hustle little.
Other: Events and cultural fest are conducted on the yearly basis as well as department wise freshers.

Good facilities and best campus life.
Placements: If I talk about BCA in our college, placement is not very good; students who will secure good marks in their overall course without any backlogs plus students who will have skills will only get placement, and for placement some aptitude and coding tests will also take place, and at the end group discussion and personal interview will be conducted. A low amount of students got placement. Average package may be around 4 lakhs. Students can get internships if they do not have any backlogs. After BCA, students can get internships in programming, web development, and many more according to their skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is quite good, as there are air-conditioned classrooms and labs in the IT department, and almost all classes are conducted in labs. Only theory classes took place in classrooms, which are only in IT departments. Wi-Fi is available in the IT department, and a library is there in the college besides the IT department, in which there is a separate reading room for people who have to study from their own material. If I talk about hostel facilities, they are also good, as Wi-Fi is there in the hostel and proper food is there in the mess. Any student can take part in any club to boost their skills, as there are many clubs present. There is a Nescafe corner, a canteen in which different snacks and some junk food are available, and there is also a juice corner in which shakes and juices are there. And the canteen is open; benches are there to sit.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers in the IT department are very helpful and knowledgeable. All teachers teach very well, doing programs while teaching. I can't say this course can make the students industry-ready, but students can do internships for their experience, and then they can become industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult. If you have average knowledge about the subject, you can easily pass the subjects. You have 4 subjects in every semester that you can manage to pass. Almost all the students pass the exam except some subjects like computer organisation and DSA.
Other: I would say if you want to enjoy your college life, then come to this college, as there are a number of events that are conducted every year. You can take part in a number of clubs, and you can take part in acting, dancing, drama, anchoring, drawing, psychology, modelling, fashion, and many more. You can also take part in a number of sports and event organizing. There are clubs in the college for almost every activity. There is NGO for college students also in the college in which you can volunteer.

Good infrastructure & facilities but course syllabus is old.
Placements: Some of the most frequent companies that visit our college every year for BCA students are Accenture, ICICI Bank, and some startups. Accenture offers a package of around 3.5 LPA for junior roles, while ICICI offers a starting salary of Rs 45000 per month. Some startups offer packages of around 30-35K per month for Chandigarh postings. Out of a batch of 150 students, on average 10-20 get placed, and the rest either prepare for masters or go into business.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities at Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College are quite good. The labs are air-conditioned, and the computers are modern and have all the necessary software. The buildings are also good, especially the auditorium, which is large and fully air-conditioned. The hostel rooms are average, and the mess food is not that great. GGDSD is not a sports-oriented college, as they focus more on academics. However, they do have a Nescafe coffee shop that serves delicious coffee, and the canteen food is quite average.
Faculty: The syllabus was quite old, so one has to do industry-oriented courses on their own. Most of the teachers were qualified, but they treated their job as a normal government job, and only a few taught with enthusiasm and quality. Semester exams were not difficult, and one can easily score good marks if they start studying at least a month before the exams.
Other: I chose this college because it is the best college in Chandigarh for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications. It has a good reputation, and its BCA program has above-average infrastructure, decent labs, and almost all computers are up to date. However, the syllabus is quite old and needs to be updated to be relevant in today's world. The college organizes several fests and events every year, some of which are paid and some are free. Some of the most famous events are "VIRASAT" and "RIWAYAT." The college also organizes several trips to various locations, mainly in Himachal, Amritsar, and Goa.
