Overall this college is not very good I would not recommend others to come in this college

Placements: Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, Full Stack developer, Business analytics, Jobs on basis of DSA, Web Development, App Developer, Companies Like Tatwa Soft, and so on are the roles offered. 100% placement are there as of here dozens companies come until every student is placed.

The supportive facilities are a positive aspect of the college.

Placements: The minimum package for placements ranges from below 2 LPA to under 10 LPA, with companies mostly from Ahmedabad. The college also offers internships, but to secure them, it's essential to have a good understanding of the course and proficient coding skills.

There should not be this kind of bad college.

Placements: Here in Gec Patan, there are 180 students in one class. And 40–50 percent of students got placed under placement in computer science and engineering. Here at Gec Patan, the average package offered for computer science and engineering students is 3.5 to 4 lacs per year.

Our college is clean with good infrastructure and excellent faculty members.

Placements: There is a program for conducting placements. Professors also arrange placements for students. The highest salary package offered was 1 LPA by IT sector.

This college is good if you believe in self-study and want to study for almost free.

Placements: Placements are fine. There are good placements if you want to start somewhere. There are almost no product-based companies. There will be almost all service-based companies. There are a few students who got into TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. One recently got into Meta.

The college is average, but if you're interested in CS, you can go for it.

Placements: Last year, around 83% of students got placed in our college, but big tech companies didn't come here, only startups. A student got placed in Meta recently. Students got placed in TCS, Infosys and Wipro-like companies. There are chances of getting placements off-campus if you work on yourself and gain practical knowledge.

This college is really affordable for economically poor students. Faculty members are good.

Placements: I am now studying in this college, but I know some of our seniors who passed out from this college. They used to tell me that very few companies offer you placements because it is a government college. However, when you attend an interview in the company, then you can get your job. But it's not easy to find a good job.

Our college has a better CSE course than other colleges.

Placements: Mostly TCS is coming for placements. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Around 25-30% of the students are selected for placements. Every year TCS is coming for placements. With respect to government college, this college is good for placements.

Our college has a good environment.

Placements: About 80% of the students got placed from our college. The highest salary offered to students is 1lac per month, while the median salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Siemens is the most recruiting company for our course. If electrical engineer students complete masters, then they become a professor. Mostly 60% of the students got internships.

It is a good college, but the campus is not good.

Placements: The college has good placements record. Companies like TCS, Eagle Infra, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placement. Students get pre-placement training so that they don't have to face the problem. Placements are good, and it totally depends on students skills. Students can easily get the placement if they have a good academic record because, without knowledge, no company is going to recruit.

The college has a good learning environment, but I'm dissatisfied because of faculty and placement.

Placements: I didn't get placed on the campus because no company visited our college for placements. We got jobs on ourselves. After the completion of my B.E, I learned a job oriented course PLC-Scada. I got a job after learning that. But other colleges include this course in the B.E programme.

Average Government College.

Placements: As far as Placements are concerned GEC Patan takes initiatives regarding it but not an effective step. Heavy Companies are not approaching but yes they do send their students for Off Campus. Students are very ambitious for getting job but not getting placed through campus makes their brain- drain.

Lack of education is the reason for unemployment of engineers today.

Placements: Some non-famous companies take places in this organisation, and few people get the placements from the companies with a very low package of salary. In short, the very bad situation is there. We expect more than this at least because we got admission in the government engineering college by our good rank.

If you can do self study, then only come to this college.

Placements: Placements are rare in my college. No company has come for electronics and communication department since 3 years. In mechanical department, there is a very high criterion for placement and most of the students can't make it. A company came for computer department but only took 2 students.

I am dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: 70% of students got placed in our college. Only 33% of students got internships from our course. The top role offered in our course is the main engineer. The top recruiting companies for our course are not the best.

If you are concerned about your mental condition, then do read it.

Placements: Basically, I know no one who was placed from the college. And all of my seniors were placed by themselves applying for different companies, but not from college. The highest salary was 35,000/- but as I said not because of college it was because of their own talent. Companies like Teksun, Siemens also come, but take students in really low payments.

GEC PATAN- An honest review.

Placements: New placement cell is formed this year which offers placements in various companies. The companies come recruit employees by interview. The average pay they offer is varies from 120000-180000k per annum. The college also recommends students to various industries for training.
