Honest review. Good faculty members and infrastructure. Dissatisfied with placement.
Placements: Our college provides a moderate level of placement as the whole batch is not placed from college. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. Mostly we have to apply for off-campus placement prepare ourselves in our college time learn the skills and sit fir off off-campus placement.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent infrastructure and also the facilities provided by the college are good. All the sports facilities are offered there is NCC. There is Wi-Fi connectivity. Library is also good and well-managed. There is a very big playground with many outdoor games. Canteen is also there but the price of the canteen is expensive.
Faculty: Professors of our college are helpful, qualified, and well-knowledgeable. They provide a good quality of education of course. Course curriculum is relevant and it helps students. Teachers also support and guide them correctly. The difficulty levels of semester exam is easy to moderate.
Other: I have a great interest in this course as I am a science student. The best thing about the course is practical. Many events are conducted in our college. They do not conduct fest.

General information about Government Holkar Science College.
Placements: The average of 50 percent students were placed in this college every year in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 2.8 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Many companies like Impetus, Tasks, and Infosys come here and give placements.
Infrastructure: The college is highly facilitated, it has modern laboratories, very good infrastructure, and was A+ rated by NAAC in 2024, but its hostel is very bad. The worst quality of food is served in their hostel. The condition of the girls’ hostel is better in comparison to the boys’ hostel.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in my department are guest faculty and not well trained. It is manageable for a student to study with these types of teachers. The semester exam of this college is very simple and easy. 75 percent attendance is necessary to learn in this college.

Average, but compared to other govt colleges, it is quite good. You can consider taking admission.
Placements: There is no placement as such, but there is placement for a few departments like Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc. You can expect somewhere around 3 LPA max on campus placement. Usually, students opt for higher studies, not placement. Some prepare for government exams.
Infrastructure: Hostel is available, but usually on the basis of caste reservation. Also, hostels are only available for first-year students. There is a new girls' hostel now; before, there used to be only a boys' hostel. The infrastructure of the college is good, not that bad, with smartboards in every class.
Faculty: Professors are quite helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is good and relevant, it's up-to-date, and I like the course curriculum. If you attend classes regularly, exams are not that difficult, and you can easily score good.

There is good placement; in 2023, 90 students were placed in the Computer Science department.
Placements: In Government Holkar Science College, a minimum of 75 percent is required for admission, and this year the college will be promoted by NAAC with an "A+" grade. The average package is 3.5 Lacs. The highest package of this college is 10 Lacs per annum. It is the best college ever.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is the best. This year, Jio has sponsored the college with a 5G network. It is Madhya Pradesh's first government college to have a 5G network. I live outside, but my friends live in the college hostel, and they tell me that the college facilities are very good.
Faculty: In Holkar Science College, the teachers are not just good; they are much better. As a student, I recommend other students to get admitted to Holkar Science College for studies because the faculty’s teaching skills are much better. During exams, teachers start paying more attention to the students.
Other: I am interested in engineering, but since there are no courses available in engineering here, I chose BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application).

Government Holkar Science College is the best science government college in Indore.
Placements: The placement season at our college began this year with great enthusiasm and anticipation. As companies started visiting the campus, students eagerly prepared to showcase their skills and secure opportunities that aligned with their career aspirations. Training and placement cell played a pivotal role in organising workshops, mock interviews, and skill enhancement sessions, ensuring students were well-prepared to face the recruitment process confidently. Top recruiters from diverse industries, including IT and CS fields visit the college to hire students. A minimum of 7.5 CGPA is required for students to get a placement. The lowest salary package offered ranges from 2-3 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Students got placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, LG, and Fedro.
Infrastructure: It is the best government college in the overall Indore. Our college campus is vibrant and in a well-designed space that fosters learning and growth. It is surrounded by greenery. It features modern academic blocks, a well-equipped library, and spacious lecture halls. The campus also has sports facilities, a gym, and recreational areas that encourage a balanced lifestyle. The hostel provides a comfortable living experience, with clean rooms and essential amenities. The mess offers a variety of hygienic and nutritious meals, catering to diverse tastes.
Faculty: Faculty members at our college are highly knowledgeable and supportive, ensuring quality education and mentorship. They foster a collaborative learning environment, helping students excel academically. Exam timetables are well-organised. They provide ample preparation time. This structured approach ensures students that balance their studies and other commitments effectively, promoting academic success.

Good College, course but not placements.
Placements: No placements were done from by batch, any companies came. Our college do provided internship on own. This internship can have maximum 60 students. Though Internship were compulsory in final, students can do on their own from outside companies. No company for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was not that good before at our session time, but it is developing day by day and now it is way better than before. Course curriculum was quite good and knowledgeable. I didn't stayed in hostel as their is no girls hostel of Holkar college.
Faculty: Faculty members were very friendly and of helping nature. They always tried to our solve problems. We had yearly pattern of exams but they have semester pattern of exams. Exams were of moderate level, it all depends on you and your hardwork. 33% is the passing percentage.
Other: I chose this course out of interest. They need more practical exposure.
