Absolutely in love with the college.
Placements: There are no placements as it is MBBS. The academic results are quite high. All professors are super educated and experienced so the college is ranked 1 in Kerala University of Health Science University exams in 2022. It is ranked 2nd in 2023.
Infrastructure: The campus is located on top of a mountain near Cheruthoni Dam. The campus is quite small but the total plot is 50 acres. Mostly it is surrounded by trees which gives a calm atmosphere. The climate of the hostel is super awesome.
Faculty: Faculty members here are super friendly, approachable, and well-experienced surgeons. The HOD is the top surgeon for laparoscopy. All the other professors are more experienced. They have experience of about more than 20 to 30 years in colleges across Kerala, and that made the student score more than 96% on the total average for university.

Wildlife of an MBBS graduate within the campus.
Placements: As this is a government college, most of the placements will be done by the government itself through the Public Service Commission (PSC). Also, after completing the course, one graduate can enroll for PG or work as a general physician and medical officer with an MBBS.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, there are mainly four blocks: a principal's office with various departments like anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, and a central library; another block including the second and third-year departments like forensic, community medicine, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology; and two hospital blocks, one for mother and child care and the other comprising all the OPs and wards. The girls' hostel is under construction, so girls are temporarily accommodated in the boys' hostel.
Faculty: There are adequate faculty members for the lectures being conducted for the necessary time, although a shortage can be felt in some departments as many posts appear to be vacant. These posts are expected to be filled shortly, despite little government interest in doing so. The faculty members are very good, especially our course coordinator, Jisha Mam. Awesome!

Satisfied because facilities are getting improved.
Placements: I got admission to Government Medical College Idukki in 2022 based on my NEET exam score. Our batch has 100 students, and the same number is in the junior batch. Currently, I’m in my second year, with clinical postings in medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, community medicine, etc. After completing 4 years, we are required to work here for 1 year as house surgeons.
Infrastructure: Our college is still under development. Hostel facilities for ladies are really nice, but those for boys need improvement; we hope for new hostels by next month. We have a central library with numerous medical books and Wi-Fi service. Labs are fully equipped, and new classrooms are being prepared. The food in the mess is good, and the sports club is active.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified from top medical colleges in India. All students are satisfied with their teaching quality. The course curriculum is relevant, following the CBME curriculum. We have university exams at the end of each year, with a pass percentage of 50%.
Other: We are the first batch studying here, so the campus is improving day by day. I chose this course because I have a deep passion for this profession, which requires empathy. We try to conduct various events and fests, and the campus surroundings are good with extracurricular activities available.
