Dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Placement in this college is not considerably. Though it has a Swami Vivekanand placement cell, companies have not been coming to this college for the past few years. Recently, two postgraduate students were placed in an IT company but that too is not a well-known company. A placement day was organized five months ago but I didn't find it useful as the companies were not well known and the salaries were not that substantial.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but the classrooms are not that good as compared to other colleges. But recently, new furniture and washroom renovation work has started. Now, there is a digital library, and the library has been renovated. The canteen facility is good; there are two playgrounds. It was equipped with a gym facility as well as a badminton court. Sports events are pretty good here. NCC and NSS are also there, where students can participate in many activities.
Faculty: The faculty is average—not that good. They don't focus on students. They are just like they perform their job and let the students do whatever they want. Strictness is not there. Semester exams are not that difficult. One can easily score above 70 percent.
Other: It is a government college, so anyone whose financial condition is poor can take admission into this college.

5Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Government Science College is the best college for the B.Sc. course.
Placements: 80 percent of students are placed in college. The highest package is INR 34 lacs in the college, the average package is INR 20 lacs, and the lowest package is INR 2 lacs in the college. The top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, SBI, Flipkart, Amazon, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good, and the best facilities are available in the college. Wi-Fi facilities are not available at the college. Digital classrooms and a big library are available at the college. Hostels are available at the college. Sports and games are available at the college.
Faculty: Teachers facilities are very good, and knowledgeable faculty are available in the college. Extracurricular activities are provided, like industry work in the college. Semester exams are very difficult at the college. 40 to 50 percent of students pass the semester exam at the college.
Other: Scholarships are provided by the college. Extracurricular activities are available at the college.

The college is excellent.
Placements: In our college, placements were excellent. We never expected such a large salary package at this college because placements are increasing year after year. Around 70% of students were placed this academic year. Each student had at least two or three offers before the end of their studies. The average salary package offered was 1 LPA to 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our classes were huge and well-equipped. There were laboratories, a large library, a zoology museum, and a huge playground. In our hostel, a playground and a gym were available for hostel boys. The food served at the canteen was average. There was an auditorium.
Faculty: I am in 3rd year of college, taking a B.Sc. in computer applications, math, and geology. Our teachers were excellent and their teaching quality was outstanding. The course curriculum was relevant and up-to-date. With these academic studies and teaching, we needed to get a job as soon as possible. In general, our college had excellent faculty members and curriculum.
Other: It is the best college in Jabalpur for B.Sc.

I am satisfied studying at this college.
Placements: About 10% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Most companies who visited our college were coaching companies or chemical companies. Top recruiting companies were Momentum and Byju's for sales jobs. Our college did not provide internships for our batch. The lowest salary package offered ranges between 1.8 LPA and 2 LPA. Top roles offered were sales executive, teacher, or manager.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. Our college provided many facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, and laboratories. Laboratories were old and there was some equipment efficiency. In the CS laboratory, there was good equipment, but teachers were not available. Hostels were good. Everything was available in hostels. The hostel building was old.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and well-qualified. Their teaching quality was disappointing because they were Ph.D. holders but they did not entertain or make the class interesting. Semester exams were a little bit difficult, but 90% of students passed.
Other: I opted for this course because this is the most demanding and emerging course in our college. The laboratory teachers should get improved. The crowd and campus are good. Events and fests are good.

M.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2022

It is a good college, but the placements are not so good.
Placements: Above 65% of students were placed in the
course. The maximum package offered is 20,000 per month. I have completed M.Sc. in chemistry, and no companies related to my field came here. Mostly, sales executive roles are offered. No one got internships. Most of them pursue B.Ed. and get into the teaching field.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and digital boards are available for studying. A good library is available. Almost every book is available as per our syllabus. The hostel is good, and the food is hygienic and healthy. A mess and a canteen are available. Medical facilities are good. NCC is available. Extracurricular activities are conducted here.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Every professor has a unique way of teaching, and they all teach very well. We enjoy attending lectures. After the lockdown, it took a lot of time to make classes run properly. There is a need to pay more attention to the syllabus and learning pattern because it is too old, and it will not help students in the current era. The pass percentage maybe above 45%. Exams are tough, but if you understand the topics, you will easily get good marks.
Other: I chose M.Sc. in chemistry because I like doing practicals, and chemistry has a good scope. I am keenly interested in Chemistry. The syllabus should be updated. Other activities are good. Unity is good. Teachers will support you even after you pass out. Every function and event is organised very well.

It is a good college for the studious students.
Placements: Students here are not interested in placements because most of the companies that come to hire are like Momentum, Swiggy, Zomato, Paytm, Resonance, and they provide jobs like tuition teaching, call centre jobs, delivery boy, salesmen, telemarketing, etc., with very low salaries like 2.5 LPA. The average package ranges from 1.2 to 1.8 LPA. Internship opportunities are provided in good IT companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, etc., very rarely and are only available for the toppers of branches like BCA, B.Sc., CS, IT, MCA and electronics. Students of other branches hardly get any internship opportunities in college, except in geology, but only if they happen to be lucky at that time.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available all over the college but is of no practical use due to its poor speed. The library, classrooms and labs are absolutely top-class. In labs, most of the equipment is in good working conditions. Classrooms have a great interactive design. The library has everything that is needed, from course books to reference books and newspapers and magazines, in both Hindi and English languages. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls, but as I was not a hosteler, so I don't have a knowledgeable opinion about hostels in the college.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable. If you really want to study, the teachers will teach with great interest and learning will be bliss. The course curriculum keeps updating every 3-4 years to maintain its relevance. The difficulty level of exams is moderate, and if you have studied the whole year, you will easily get above 75%. If you start studying 1 month before exams, then you will have to work very hard to pass, and the maximum you can get is around 60-65% if you are not regular in your studies. The pass percentage is around 70%, as the evaluation is very fair.
Other: Events like singing, dancing, and acting competitions are held annually. Scholarships are available only for meritorious students and OBC, SC and ST (all) students. Annual sports also take place, in which, if your performance in trials is good enough, you can get a chance to represent your college, university, district and even state. A farewell party is celebrated only for PG pass-outs, not for Bachelors' pass-outs.
